It's quite acceptable... however, next time we'll buy a set with much larger pieces.. plus w/far more detail... but u can't beat it for the exceedingly reasonable price....

For the price this seemed like a great deal . Unfortunately there appears to be some quality control issues. First one we got had the clasps ripped off. Looks like maybe when sliding it into the box to ship they got caught on the carboard then just forced in. Sent it back and ordered another. Second ones clasp was ok but it had a dent right on the top egde. The foam I sent was also already separted from the case. I can glue that back but I can't fix the dent and the delamination that already started as a result of the dent being on an edge. Frustrating. I gave up. Will try for a third time from a different company.

Clasp broke immediately upon opening. Green foam used in the piece holders is obviously visible and the green velvet fell away immediately as well. The board does not lie flat when it is opened up. Better just get a plastic set, this looks like something that's a drop-ship cheapo with hefty markup.

Have to admit when I realized this was coming from India I wasn't sure what to expect both in quality and delivery service (it was saying it would be here in two days!). It arrived just as they said, I can't even mail a letter here to an adjacent state in two days! The quality of the board and piece holders is very good. I am teaching my 7 year old daughter to play Chess and we watched a video on the history of Chess (not included) and found out Chess has its origins in India, so that made the purchase even more worth while to us. Great product, thank you!

No issue with the size and quality of the game board and pieces. Latch not strong enough for portability but adequate for how I need to store the chess set.

Good quality traditional Staunton chess set purchased for young beginning player. Exactly what I wanted, excellent service. Absolutely zero complaints.

Think trice before buying this item. Below is my last correspondence with the supplier after several exchange of emails:It is with dismay that you defend the poor quality of your product by saying that they are minor things and were mentioned on the product listing. Show me where you have mentioned that the “inlays are not symmetrically aligned and that there is a black smudge on the tile”? You mentioned that these are minor things but for a buyer and a chess player, these are unacceptable and a total disturbance when playing chess. I will definitely rate you as the worst supplier of all times. You just destroyed the reputation of Amazon.

The board doesn't lay fully flat when opened, causing it to wobble whenever any pressure is applied to either side of the board.
