just like when I was a kid, kinda
So this one is made in china and $110! Seat broke in 15 min. To buy a new seat it costs $40+ dollars. The Original Big Wheel made in America, the seat only costs $17. Coronavirus going on and cant get new seat or at least the place that I called said they were unavailable. I just bought a cheaper big wheel for $25 dollars, (it is not related to this big wheel, just a knock off). I guess there is a way to fix this big wheel with PVC piping. The Original Big Wheel is a bit big for our daughter anyway. She is 2 1/2 years old. I don't think it's worth to buy The Original Big Wheel, especially for the price. I really don't even think it's the original, also the wheel fell off The Original Big Wheel, but thats probably from poor assembly, but still.

"Like" the original, but not made the same
I was hoping for the same Big Wheel that my son enjoyed as a child so I ordered this for my grandson. Though it looks like the original, it is made of thinner, cheaper plastic. The tires have no tread and it is difficult for a new to big wheel child to get any traction. He does enjoy scooting around on it, but the original one lasted for the time my son wanted to use it. This one is not like the original other than in looks, and is often cast to the side in favor of other toys.

Front wheel is NOT very durable.
After only a week of riding on the driveway and sidewalk, the front wheel has a rather large flat side where my 4 year old son likes to ride his Big Wheel, and then slide to a stop. Because the wheel is made of thin plastic, there is now a rather large hole - about 7 inches long. This now makes the Big Wheel hard to ride with one big flat spot on the front wheel. This product really needs a more durable front wheel, or even offer an optional replacement wheel to stand up to riding on cement.

Cheap construction/material: broken steering column twice
We bought matching big wheels for the kids for Christmas, one failed in January, one in March. We failed to read the reviews about the many failures. As others we didn’t realize Empire bought the name rights and this was not as advertised the original (indestructible) big wheel of my youth. Super scam given the return/replace window. With this second breakage we are getting a different I product. So sad for our kids; the glee of matching big wheels has been replaced with disappointment.

Missing Parts
I ordered this big wheel for my grandson's birthday, which is Oct. 29. I knew it looked like it had been previously opened. I just started putting it together (it's Oct 26) and there are parts missing. The window for me to return this was October 15, which I just learned. Now I am stuck with an expensive big wheel that is missing parts...and now I have to buy another one!!!
