The Gheranda Samhita - A Treatise on Hatha Yoga Paperback – April 21, 2011

This wonderful text comes direct from the horses mouth, ie. it's a conversation between a guru(Gheranda) and a student (Kapali). The guru gives a fantastic answer and example of why an individual must do yoga in his /her daily life. The great wisdom of yoga is found in this profound book of only 132 pages. No diagrams, all in words only. But I find that words are as important as diagrams. Will recommend anybody who intend to stay healthy in his/her life, to read this book.

This is a tragedy for the trees that sacrificed for the paper. The Sanskrit here was digitally translated to rubbish, and the original text illustrations of yoga postures completely omitted. This is not a true sharing of this important yogic text!!!! Print in demand not worth any cheap price.

I read this book many times when i was practising the hath yoga.A maha yogi(RAMARISHI) from india,jodhpur,advised me to go through this book,WHEN I APPROACHED HIM FOR GUIDENCE.The book "gheranda samhita",is complete book covering all informations about asanas,pranayama,mudras,and meditations etc..,.the auther did a lot of effort to translate and define the book.I whole heartedly congatulate him,and appriciate his efforts.I also suggest all the persons interested in yoga(specially hathayoga)to read this book,i am sure they will find it very usefull and helpfull for their yoga. spsharma,<[email protected]>

It was quite disappointing to see that the Sanskrit font was not properly printed and looks like gibberish, making the text look very unprofessional, messy and annoying to read.I bought the hard cover because i assumed it would be a nicer edition, but i would much rather a paperback or lesser edition without the ridiculous printing errors.DOnt waste your money, download a PDF!

The original Sanskrit text is only shown in some funny, unreadable characters!! Are you serious??

print quality is too good, crisp and clear!

Something was wrong with the print. Sanskrit parts weren't properly printed with proper font but gibberish like: AHK68jIOfj9^&.
