We have used these leashes with all our dogs. I like that I can use it as a very short leash, or let the dog use the full length. I have never used another brand because this has worked so well for us.Follow the advice as to weight limits. My daughter used our leash with her very large dog and when the dog startled and bolted, the cord became jammed. Be aware that there are size recommendations on these leashes and get the proper size.

I like these ratcheting dog leashed. I alway take my dog out for his sniff-n-pee or to check his pee-mails! If he lingers too long, I half button the leash stop button and the rat-a-tat-tat warn him to quick, leave his two cents worth. Then it is on to the fire hydrant! My dogs name happens to be Peabody! I also have a cat named Sherman!

I have used this Flexi leash for years. Solid product that lasts a long time through much wear. It allows my dogs who have innate wanderlust to feel that they are a bit independent but I always have control and can bring them close to me quickly. My personal preference is the 16 foot leash and I won't get longer. This is because I can still protect my dogs when the leash is fully extended. I am able to reel them in quickly if people, animals or cars come into view.
