Great product at a great price. Replaced piston on one swivel adjustable kitchen chair. I’m tall and like to sit a bit higher at the table, this lift cylinder is a little higher than my old one that failed after 10 years. Lifts the seat to the perfect height, and I can even go higher if I want, perfect!

Does the job perfect. great chrome finish, and very strong. Just be aware I'm 5'11 and at the lowest setting my feet rest flat on the floor. At the highest setting my feet are about 6 inches above the floor. I know It don't sound like much but unless you're over 6ft, I'd recommend getting a shorter version of this lift.

I bought this to replace an old office chair's leaking cylinder. It is also about twice as long as the original I was replacing. I'm very tall and wanted to save this comfortable chair that was being thrown out, and I wanted it much taller. It didn't dissappoint. The new cylinder is super strong (I weigh about 275) and very tall. The only caveat is that it rises on it's own sometimes when you're not sitting in the chair. It never goes down when sitting in it. It just rises sometimes on it's own, which isn't a biggie, you just sit on it and adjust it down again. It was a super cheap way to save a great chair on the low low buck.

my ikon roller seat from harbor freight is great, but the lift that came with it was a p.o.s. lasted 2 months, and was not strong to begin with. I replaced it with this one, it is WAY better...holds my fat ass up !!i am a "big guy" 300 lbs. it handles me with no problem.

Cheap junk. Plastic not ball bearings. came with plastic shavings in the external sleeve that I had to remove due to the crunching sound of plastic!

My wife needed her chair extended to reach the proper height to be ergonomically positioned.Great price, replacement is easy, works perfectly.

Made for stool or bar stool not a chair all good though.

worked well, bottom of cylinder is 42mm. tapers to 50mm at 2.5 inches up. which is good , cause my hole in chair base is 50mm . because the cylinder is a bit to long for my chair, i filed out the hole in plastic base to lower the chair seat. my chair bought online from office depot 130 bucks.bonded leather started peeling at 3 months. gas cylinder went bad at 1.5 years. now to re-cover the chair in real leather. by the way this cylinder lifts way high, i'm 5' 10'' and this will lift my feet off the ground 5''s at max height. to remove the old cylinder had to spray WD40 and let sit for a while, then long pipe wrench to twist. old upper cylinder was rusted in. put a dab of grease on new upper shaft in case needs to replace again. update: 3/18/23 gas cylinder still works great,no complaints
