The pliers are good enough for beginners, but the round pliers will twist while using with heavier gauge wires

I've been making jewelry for several years and have been stocking up recently on jewelry pliers set, similar to this set, for workshops that I teach. My only criticism of this set is that the flatter pliers have some ribbing inside the jaws. If you're working with color-coated wire, or even higher-quality wire that's dead soft, it's going to leave ribbed mar marks.If you're looking for a high-quality set of jewelry pliers, it's definitely not a 5-star set, but great for a beginner or used as I use them- for quick workshops teaching basic wire wrapping and tree of life decoration making.

Excellent plier set, great for any level of jewelry maker. The grip is comfortable, and the plier heads grip onto metals nicely. Great quality, for a great price.

These jewelry pliers are suitable for everyday, novice jewelry making. I am always looking for good jewelry making tools and these fit the bill. They feel good in my hands when working on a project and you can never have too many pliers!

Very comfortable to work with, all tools did the job well. Have had no issues with cutters on different wires and gauges.

I got this set for my daughter who has gotten into jewelry crafting and had been "borrowing" my tools. I finally decided that she needed a set of her own. This set is great for beginners because the tools are easy to use, they have nice grips that aren't slippery and the tools themselves function great. I like that they are simply made and very sturdy. Will be a good set for a long time.

So my latest Pandemic hobby is jewelry making. I just putting together bracelets and necklaces of pretty, colored beads. Except I then realized that I need some tools to do this. Thus, I was so happy to have discovered this product. This product had three sets of pliers: cutting, round nose and needle.The good news is that the round nose and needle pliers work well. They all have nice padded handles, so your hands are comfortable when using them.The bad news is that the cutting pliers don't seem to cut, even thin wire.The other good news is that all the pliers seem to be well made.

The wire cutters in this set aren't very good, and won't cut through some fairly basic wire that my other, non-high end cutters do. I repeatedly tried, and they just kept failing on any wire that wasn't really thin. The chain nose pliers have striations on the inside jaws, which if working with softer metals, could possibly mar the surface.However, I found the round nose pliers to work just fine, and the tips are well-aligned and weren't problematic in any way. There is a bit of roughness on them that concerned me that they may mar some of the wire I was working with, but these didn't so I'm happy with them.The biggest disappointment for me was the cutters. If one is only going to work with very thin wire, but this style should be up to the challenge of cutting through wire other inexpensive cutters do with ease. Although I didn't notice any marring on my wire/metal from the chain nose, the striations are on both surfaces and should have been smoothed.The handle grips were standard and comfortable enough, and held up fine to tight squeezing. However, I can't recommend these due to the mentioned flaws. Thanks for reading.
