My husband used this on his work boots to keep the toe from getting damaged. He is a roofer who works in the harsh New England winters and this stuff saved his boots! I applied it for him and had no trouble at all! I only wish it came with a second applicator for when you apply the second coat as it hardens on the applicator in between coats. I did my best to clean it off but it was still soaked into the little brush pretty well and caused the second coat to go on a bit more messy than the first. We had enough to do both boots with 2 super thick coats and a 3rd thin coat on both toes and on the outside of the foot about halfway down the boot. I dare say this could serve as additional protection for those who don’t like steel toe. It cured nicely and looks great. I was worried it would look like a 5 year old applied this but it cures nearly. My advice is that when applying less is more. If you want it to look neat and cure well it’s almost better to apply 3 thin coats. I also found it was better to use your own sandpaper if you have it. Preparing the boots properly is very important if you want this to work properly. You’ll want to stir the jar well before each application as the Kevlar bits tend to settle at the bottom. My husband loves this product! He’ll never buy another pair of work boots without applying this to the toes, it’s been a life saver! It has held up against abrasive shingles and gravel that would normally tear his boots to shreds. I waited until the winter was over to come review so I could provide accurate information as far as the longevity of this product and I’m glad I did! This lasted through the entire winter season, and stayed in tact through multiple snow storms, and lots of rain. The original application is still going strong 8 months later! 10 out of 10 for this product. We’ve been recommending this to everyone we know! Money well spent!

Product has been applied for a month or so. Hasn’t worn hardly at all. Must have if you don’t want to buy new boots every 6 months.
