Good First Book
Mike Puma has written his first book (I believe) on my favorite subject: The New York Mets. This beat writer has put together a good look inside the organization that makes for a good fan reading. Hopefully in the near future he will have a lot more winning material from which to produce his next book on my team!

Yankee fan gives this book two thumbs up
I’m a Yankee fan but found this a great read on the beach. Insights and back stories about Mets over the past twenty years actually made me feel (slightly) bad about rooting against them this many years, and who woulda thunk I would end up liking Billy Wagner. Great easy summer read for the baseball aficionado.

A must for any Mets fan
Was a great read, especially for any longtime Mets fan. One negative for me was a lack of depth in what could have been some great stories. Example - I wanted to read a lot more about deGrom. But for a wide ranging anthology, it was very entertaining.

Highly Recommend
It was a great read. It brought back all the old memories. From the no hitter to the World Series loss the the royals. Made me hate the Wilpons even more which I didn’t think could be possible.Overall a beautifully written book with lots of great interviews.

Read this !!! - Great Book
Mike Puma wrote a concise historical, sometimes funny book on the Mets . Usually I take my time reading books. I could not put this down. I highly recommend this book to any MLB fan.

Inside Stories behind Mets Success and Failure
Enjoyed getting the insight although sometimes made me aggravated based on decisions made by the Mets.

Nothing New Here
The title alone is deceptive - "If These Walls Could Talk" - because there are only a handful of "secrets" revealed in this book and all of those were discussed when the book was first released. There is no passion in the telling of this book, which is not a surprise since it was written by a beat writer for the NY Post. It is simply a chronological recitation of events. As I lifelong fan, I remember these moments. I don't need to hear about who struck out when. Some of the interviews are interesting especially from those we don't hear from often.Overall, it is a flat, emotionless book. A true fan will find more enjoyment from Devin Gordon's recent book.
