The Re-birth of a Windmill: The Swaffham Prior Smock Tower Mill: 2 (Windmills)

This little book is not what you might expect.It is not a dry technical and historical acount, instead it presents a view of decline and rebirth as it might be perceived by the windmill itself. I was initially sceptical, but ir is a remarkably engaging story. We are fortunate that there are dedicated people who are prepared to do amazing things to preserve heritage. I am an enthusiast of windmills everywhere and I thank the Author for his determination that this mill was not lost. 50 years ago it was a derelict rotting shell, but now it stands whole again.
