Very brittle knives
I only used my 8” chef knife for cutting herbs for the first week. Now granted I am a professional chef in a large kitchen in Las Vegas but these knives chip like crazy. They are very sharp but just a few rocks of the blade and you can feel them chip right down. I’ve had mine two months now and have to get a new edge put on them already. It’s so chipped it looks serrated. I would say these are good for home cooking but not the premier professional knives they’re advertised as. Waste of $500 imo

Misleading
Misleading. You’re paying for a 5 piece knife set that is marketed as being made in Japan. Only 3/5 pieces are made in Japan “supposedly” the others are made in China. Now why would a fine Japanese knife maker send you Chinese steel to sharpen with? They wouldn’t.

Absolutely beautiful
First I should note that it was delivered the day after I ordered, it a full 4 days early. It’s a Christmas present so I opened it to make sure there aren’t any defects or broken pieces and they are absolutely stunning and even the packaging was beautiful.

Brittle
If you are used to German/European-style knives be aware that these are much more brittle. They are very, very sharp but also extremely prone to chipping. If you are not going to take exceptional care of these buy yourself something with a heavier blade.
