Read it now!
If you have read 99 days and enjoyed it, I would highly recommend that you pick this up. Even if you haven’t read 99 days, you could still read this as a stand-alone.I loved this book, maybe I am biased because I loved most of Katie’s other books. The tone of 9 days and 9 nights is much more serious in nature, serious issues are discussed that add another layer to the story and to the relationships. I really enjoyed that aspect, and how the author dealt with such an issue in a mature way without putting the other side down. I also enjoyed the devlopmenf of relationships from the previous, especially the relationship with her mum. It’s not all serious though, it’s exciting and it really gives the feel of a European trip. I would highly recommend that you pick this book up, it’s quick and easy to read, the writing is fanstastic and the female friendships are excellent.

Needed the closure
The best thing about this book was that it gave me the ending I needed for Molly and Gabe's story. I loved seeing them interact again, and most of my enjoyment of the book came from that alone. That being said, I have some complaints.Mainly, I think this book needed to be longer. The emotions didn't build realistically because the whole thing basically spans one week. It didn't have the intensity of the first book. I also think the book focused a lot on boring, mundane events that didn't add anything to the main storyline (the romance) and I guess that leads into my main complaint, that this book didn't have enough Gabe in it.For a book that basically centers around a romance, we don't get a whole lot of the two of them together. I would bet that the main reason many people pick this up is to see the fate of Molly and Gabe as a couple, but then half the pages of an already short book are spent with characters that I frankly couldn't care less about. So my recommendation would be that this book is definitely worthwhile if you loved the first book, as I did, but will be disappointing if you expect too much romance. Because it focuses more on a wide range of characters.Oh, and it used the word "emphatically" so many times that I wanted to scream.

Drags on and not much happens...
For such a short book I feel like it really dragged on. Not much happened throughout the book and I was pretty disappointed. I enjoyed the first book even though I thought it dragged on as well, and I was very excited to see that there was a second book that gave a little explanation as to what happened afterward. I immediately purchased this and was very disappointed. I think that it was a bit too dramatic for my taste. Not that I don't enjoy dramatic love stories, I was just frustrated with the characters. There was a lot of self-pity throughout the story and everyone hurting other people because they felt unworthy of love or friendship and at some point, I just started wishing the book would end! I would recommend the first book but not this one!
