While on her way home from school Sakura Sakurakôji sees a boy, about her own age, murder a gang of thugs with a strange blue flame. The next day however, when she returns to the scene, there is no trace that anything strange happened and when she gets to school there is a new transfer student in her class, the same guy she saw the previous night.This first volume of the `Code: Breaker' manga is an interesting read and it is definitely a series that I will continue to read. The series has some nice artwork and a plot that somewhat compulsive. The tone of the series is generally quite dark but there are some rather silly comedy moments here and there, and if I am honest I did find these somewhat jarring. While at this point I wouldn't say that this series is great, I do think it has potential and this first volume is well worth a good four stars.

Absolutely brilliant read, I loved it. Great for any other young person who wants some pure escapism, I would highly recommend this book.
