Comparison between 6 pens
Comparison between 6 pensI had the opportunity to compare between few pens: (will cover 6 pens here)======================among other pens, I managed to try, see photos for a better comparison======================in shortPen1- CROSS Bailey Medalist Rollerball Pen with Gold-Plated Appointments incl. Premium Gift Boxlooks very very nicefeels premium in the had, and has some weight (37g)packaging is ok for a gift but nothing special regarding the box look or feel.it glides very smoothly when writing, and it has the right amount of ink coming out.my preferred penPen2- CROSS Century II Medalist Fountain with 23CT Gold Medium Nib incl. Premium Gift Boxvery beautiful design especially the Fountain tipvery detailed oriented designCROSS Fountain pens are very good for lots of writing, it has just the right amount of ink flowing, but if you use it for singing then don’t go too fast as the line will start breaking (a solution for that is to press a bit harder on the paper)lightweight compared to the others (22g) … not bad by any meansPen3- PARKER IM Fountain Pen, Light Blue Grey, Medium Nib with Blue Ink Refill (1931655)looks very nicelightweight compared to the others (24g)I would go with the fine Nib rather than this medium NibI noticed that PARKER Fountain pens spill more ink while writing than other brands, thus you have to write fast or the paper will start absorbing the ink, which is not ideal for a lot of writing, though it’s very nice for signing documents, as the line will not start fading when you draw line very quickly. also, that makes the pen not suitable for glossy papers.very smooth writing with it.Pen4- Parker Sonnet Medium Nib Stainless Steel Gold Finish Trim Gift Boxed Fountain Penlove the designthe weight is in the middle (25g) compared to the othersvery lovely box, one of the bestagain: I noticed that PARKER Fountain pens spill more ink while writing than other brands, thus you have to write fast or the paper will start absorbing the ink, which is not ideal for a lot of writing, though it’s very nice for signing documents, as the line will not start fading when you draw line very quickly. also, that makes the pen not suitable for glossy papers.I would go with the fine Nib rather than this medium NibPen5- Waterman Expert Stainless Steel, Ballpoint Pen with Medium Blue refill (S0952100)this pen is different than the ones before as it’s a dry-pen, similar to regular Pic pens.looks very very nicefeels premium in the had, and has some weight (34g)writes smoothlywould have been one of the best pens out there except I had issues with it spilling, which made a mark on my shirt few times and it ruined itPen6- Parker Stainless Steel with Chrome Colour Trim, Ballpoint Pen with Medium Black refill (S0809240)looks nicevery slimmedium to lightweight (27g)- just a regular pen, thus ok for writing (you are getting it for the looks).==============between the pens here I would pick:Pen1, then both Pen2 and Pen5==============Note:All pens have been bought (by me and my family) nothing was sponsored or gifted by any retailerI like all of the designs, that’s why we got them :)- Always read the details about the pen in the description by the seller (as they may change)most Fountain pens include refills (and sometimes even extras)I prefer pens with caps to eliminate spilling problem that may happen or accidental strokes. And sorry for the video, first time and was difficult writing while the paper is away from me.Many thanks

Disappointing
I was really looking forward to this pen, I wanted a Parker 51 fountain pen. This pen looks like a Parker 51 but it has been compromised. It writes well and is comfortable to use.Now for my disappointments, no cartridge converter was included, only one ink cartridge, no instructions or warranty paperwork. The metal cap screws on to the plastic body, why is there no metal insert mounted onto the body? I think the plastic screw thread will wearout over time and then the pen will be of no use. This is not an inexpensive pen but with these oversights, in my opinion, mean the pen is overpriced. For the price, Parker should have produced a better pen. A pen worthy of the heritage of the iconic original Parker 51.There are better pens available at a lower price, even some cheap pens ( under £10. For about the same price, there are pens that supplied with the items Parker decided not to supply.Shool report for Parker: Could have done better!

Beautiful looking pen, but wrong nib, leaking (and pre-used?)
I was so looking forward to this pen, being a bit of a fountain pen fan. The outer box was not sealed, the pen was loosely held in the box along with two loose cartridges, and none of the usual guarantees, instructions etc. I though it a bit odd, as most pens I buy (particularly the slightly better quality ones) always come with these sorts of things, and certainly not usually with loose cartridges rolling about in the box! However, the pen looked good and I decided to try it. I always use nib cleaner on the nib before I use a new pen, as it helps clear any dust or oils from production. When I used nib cleaner on this nib, some ink was clearly present on the tissue when I wiped it, meaning it has been used before. Nevertheless I went ahead and added ink to the converter I had bought specially (as even at this price, Parker don’t provide a converter). I then realised this was far from the ‘fine’ nib I ordered… it was a very broad nib. See attached picture…the top letters are from my current standard medium nib pen, and the sentence at the bottom is from the new Parker Sonnet. Clearly not a fine nib!!! At this point I realised there was ink on my fingers, as it was leaking. I gave up, cleaned it and am returning it. Gorgeous looking pen, but this one came with too many problems for me…I’ll make a different choice once I get my refund.

Parker Sonnet
took a while for the writing smoothness to come through as at first it was very scratchy and missed a lot in the writing. I cleaned it thoroughly and bought some new ink and the problem has been resolved. Now I thoroughly enjoy the writing experience. l Would definitely recommend

Great if it works but disappointing build quality and tempremantal- poor customer service
I loved using this pen for a few months, but then alas, it broke- the nib split and half of it fell off whilst writing. Literally, melted like butter in front of my eyes! I shipped it back to France for an investigation and refund: Parker (or whoever they are in France) refused to replace it. Apparently it was my error: the thing they weren't aware of is that I know how to write and don't break pens. Amazon were very god and decided that I was owed a new pen... they sent me one. This one I still intact but doesn't write as well as the first one did (before it broke) So... really not sure about this pen.It does look pretty cool in Matte black though
