Superb and confirmed
This book is a legacy of Dr Stuart Wheelwright and tells what to really eat, and why. Even how to cook it. Dr Sydney Bakers book "The Circadian Diet" confirms it (even if I would never touch the soydrinks that he's into), the book by Dr Jerry Tennant, "Healing is voltage" also confirms it. (That book, by the way, and despite the amazing title, might be the best alternative healthbook ever written. Tennant was a world renowned surgeon and fell sick. He had to fight for his life, and went all out. Its an incredible read and I rank it as the absolutely most valuable on my bookshelf). Now the ProVita book here is a gem and goes hand in hand with what Dr Tennant writes.Basically: You should eat protein, vegetables and fat (butter is good!) with just a little carbs in *the first half of the day*. Otherwise insulin, which is a hormon, can not only make you fat and tired, but also sick in many other ways. This is also the connection to the LCHF diet that helps so many to recover from the carb craze. But you SHOULD eat carbs, like a porridge, preferrably with some fresh pressed juice, but in the AFTERNOON. This helps the liver and metabolism to do maintenance during the night. But to eat carbs early in the day provokes insulin, while eating some protein, cooked and raw vegetables and fat early in the day boosts you. Actually it has to be eaten early otherwise the nutrients are not ready in time for the nightshift. And PH balance is also explained at length and in detail in the Provita book.I have tried most diets there is during 40 years, and it all boiled down to what I wrote above.

I purchase this product as a gift for my mother for the holidays and she said it was a very enjoyable read!

Excellent writing!
Dr Jack Tips is an excellent writer. Easy to read and understand. The concepts in this book helped me to make some adjustments to the way I eat so my body uses food optimally. I have noticed a change in my energy levels. I have used several of the recipes so I was able to add foods to our kind of limited diet. This is a later printing, but the earlier edition contains the same information.
