Fisher-Price Bright Beats Learnin' Lights Dance Mat

This little mat is so cute! My 1yo is OBSESSED with it! The mat itself is pretty small, but that isn't too big of a deal for us. He doesn't care whether he is dancing on the mat or the rug anyway. The only reason I docked a star is because, after opening the amazon box (which was undamaged) the box of the product was smashed up in the corners. Like it had been repackaged or something. It was a little off-putting, but the product itself worked fine and was worth the 30 bucks we paid!

It's a great toy and very fun for my one-year-old son, it is as fun as it seems in the commercial. However, the height is only about a foot tall, and it bends really easily and this lifts the mat off of the ground. The commercial makes it seem very stiff and like a child can hold onto it and stand and dance, but now that my son can stand better, he can't hold onto it because it is so short and flexible.

I purchased this for my 2 year old nephew for Christmas. He absolutely loves it. He’s very into sound/lights and LOVES to dance - he definitely inherited that from his Mother and I! The product is made very well, the lights in the mat are vibrant and it’s not rough on his body. It’s also a great coordination/educational toy- he names the colors of the lights as they show up. Great price and customer service. He has a blast with it! Totally recommend to those with children that like to have visual and sound simulation!

This is my grandson’s favorite toy! Our little guy is non verbal and non mobile so there are some pretty severe limitations. This is a favorite because it is easy for him to activate. Bright lights and music for the win! Sad this is a discontinued toy though

This was a gift which was well received and in use daily. We did not need the item after all and not sure if it would have been beneficial either. We are unhappy with the purchase and never used the item. It is still in original package and vendor will not accept returns.

My 1.5 year old godson really likes this! It's super simple for him to use, just push the button and cue adorable dancing! He even comes to me to dance with him. He also loves to spin the carachter around. The pictures and box size are very deceptive, the mat is actually very small. Took one star off because the music volume needs to be a little louder.

We got this for our baby girl on her 1yr old bday! It is the most played with toy that she has. She loves dancing around it and watching all the colors. She drags it from the lil guys ear from one room to the other lol. I was a little worried because of the other reviews that she would lose interest. She is 14 months now and still loves it and most played with toy.

Wish some of the music was a little bit more "childish". Some sound like rap or club music and it's kind of weird. Not something I expected from a childs music toy. I also thought it had more motion detection on the actual mat, but it's only on the base. Nothing happens with the mat.

This product looks wonderful. It arrived fast and undamaged. The only thing I was not happy with was that the box that the toy is in was torn in two places, but a little scotch tape fixed that. I would also suggest that the shipper makes sure this item is turned off before packaging as the little voice and music was going off in the box over and over again. The battery would last longer if it was turned off.Other than that, it looks great. No damage. It's colourful and works fine. Originally, shipping was to be a week and it only took 3 days. Awesome! It is a gift, so my granddaughter will not have it until Christmas, but it looks like something she will have a lot of fun with. I would buy this again. I'm satisfied and very happy.

Was disappointed it didn't dance like the original Beatbo. My fault for not looking into it but you'd think it would! Many people don't know that, so fyi! It only spins around if the kid moves it. Should have danced like the original considering it has the dance mat ... especially if the child you're buying it for knows the original Beatbo, they're going to wonder why this one doesn't move. Not worth it in my opinion.

We have the original beat bo and thought our son would love this. The sensors barely work, the construction is cheap and the games don't hold his attention (he's 2).Total waste of money.

Gifted for a friends child for Christmas. When he opened it it didn't work. We changed the batteries (it actually came with some!) for new ones and it still didn't work. Read all the instructions to see if we were missing something but I think it was just received a dud. They ended up exchanging it at a store for a new unit and it works perfectly! He loves it!!!

The idea of this is good. It's a cute toy, my daughter just never really got into to unfortunately.
