Best shirt stays
Don't even bother with the clips. Just get buttons sewed onto the bottom of your shirts. These are perfect with buttons

Good, takes a getting used to.
These work. They just make you feel like 100 tiny people are pulling you to the ground like in Gulliver's Travels. If you are not over 6 feet, it may be more comfortable, not sure. Good for a photoshoot, but not for dancing.

So far So good
Works well with thin shirts, not so well with a thicker material.

Good product But........
These garters just don't stay put as well as the last set I had. They work they are just not quite as sturdy.

Nature calls
My only dislike is the problem when you need to go to the restroom. You need to remove your entire pants to sit down and conduct your needed chore.

Worked for me for hours straight
I have the straight style with clips. I've worn these for hours of ballroom dancing, and all day at conferences. They have only slipped and detached once for me, and that was after me idly picking at one on my sock while sitting with my legs crossed. They take a little getting used to, but only a little; I found them pretty comfortable after adjusting to a comfortably snug length.Don't have them bowstring tight; you should still be able to raise your arms, but your shirt should pull back down once they are lowered. When adjusted right, I was able to sit comfortably and cross my legs. My shirts stayed perfectly tucked, which is usually something that I struggle with and bothers me a lot, so I really enjoyed having these. I plan to wear them whenever I have a dress shirt on.The clips stretch fabric a little bit and leave an imprint, but it smooths out and I noticed no damage nor permanent stretching.

They are comfortable to wear and stay in place
The description of the item is what I received. I got this for my son who uses them for his MCJROTC uniform. He wears an undershirt then his uniform shirt and hooks both materials in the stays. The small little button black rubber grips could be a little wider (fatter?) in width (height?) as it is hard to grip the shirt and hook to the metal. However, they do grip and once in place they don't move. They are comfortable to wear and stay in place. All in all the Garter Grip performs as intended and I'm glad i got them for him.

They do not hold onto the shirt
I would avoid this brand and go with another such as Vangaurd. I have stuck with Vangaurd for the past few years, but decided on trying a different brand this time around. The material of these is good quality, but the build is very poor. The rubber grips that the metal loop is hooked to is not cut deep enough. When you attach them to your shirt, the metal loop can not fully seat inside the notch on the rubber part, and if at any point in the day where your shirt stay gets slack in it, such as when you sit down, it comes undone. I am 2 hours into my shift and I had reattach my shirt stays 12 times already. If they fix the problem with the notch not being cut deep enough, they will be fine, but until then, avoid. I will not be wearing these again after my first use.In the photos, you can see a comparison of the Vangaurd and the Hold’Em. The Vangaurd is on the right in both pictures. You can clearly see how much better the Vangaurd holds onto the shirt than the Hold’Em. Hold’Em has some work to do on improving their product if they want it to be superior.
