I bought this to use in my camper so the bread is protected. The bread stays fresh and doesn’t get smashed. As far as the holes in the bottom, they’re so excess moisture doesn’t build up, I find that they do not affect the freshness of the bread whatsoever.

I am going to start out by saying this, bc I have seen a lot of 1-3 star reviews bc of it, this is not for the bread without the plastic around it! It does have holes and will mold your bread if you just put the bread down in it! You put the whole loaf plastic and all down in the container! I was worried that my bread wouldn’t fit but it holds a 2lb full size loaf just fine!
