B5 Coconut Scraper (With Stainless Steel Blade)

Except for a problem I ran into, it's a great, safe coconut grater device. My mom is in her 80's and only uses fresh grated coconut for certain recipes, so I didn't want any electric device near her, no matter how slow it was, fearing she'd hurt herself by accident. We needed something manual but easier & faster to grate coconuts but still manual.I received the grater and tried it out. I attached the blade component into the device. If you look at the pic that's similar to our kitchen/dining table, one part of our table blocked the device from fully screwing on securely so we also added a thin towel to the table for more secure handling. I will have to find a table without any blocking from below. Anyway, I started grating at the open-ended parts of the cut open coconut by tilting the coconut to one side against the open edge, and after grating as much as I could on that side, moved onto the next edge section, and after only a little while, I had grated most of it and finished also the other half. It was fast and easy I could have done 3 coconuts easy in 1 sitting. Yes, it's definitely worth it to get it! As for cleaning, I took the entire device to the sink, ran water over the round blades area and it was also fast and easy to clean!!

Very happy with it. Hard to clean but that’s expected. It really has to be tight on table and will dent the wood, but we expected that. Only negative is that the wooden handle doesn’t rotate as freely as I’d like

First, the base could be wider. As it is, you have to really tighten the screw-type locking base to the table to make it stable, and it's a fixed height so only a certain table will accept it; 2nd, the product length is too short to allow a bowl under the grating/rotating head. Only a flat plate will fit under to catch the scraped coconut; and lastly, most important for me, are the teeth of the scraper blade - they are too small. They produce fine scraped coconut and that's not what I want. Too late to return.
