Solitary Bee Hive

Not impressed but I decided to put things right myself rather than return it.One of the sections was badly bowed so the perspex window didn't sit flush so I had to totally disassemble it and find a way to put the sections together in a reasonable way. The bowed section is now at the bottom and I don't want to try to straighten it any further by using the wing nuts as I think it will pull the bolts through the perspex sheet.The hinge to lift the top section looks like it was put on by a blind person. I've had to move that to the opposite side of the top section to get it correct.Fortunately my DIY skills were adequate to do the above but I think some might get frustrated.Hopefully mine was assembled late on a Friday afternoon and a one off shambles.

Bought this two years ago and thought i’d do another review. Last year we had leaf cutters using it and this year solitary bees! Excited that they’ve used the row you can view easily too this year, really good if you want to see them develop.

What I like about this product is its well made had to drill holes to make them 8mm as native bees prefer this size,then will cover the roof with roofing felt so it lasts longer .Good priceAll good.

Gut gemacht, um sich die belegten Gänge mit den Nestern anzusehen. Allerdings sind nicht viele Gänge vorhanden und der Preis ist recht hoch. Habe es gebraucht = billiger gekauft. Den regulären Preis hätte ich wohl nicht gezahlt. So bin ich zufrieden.
