Guardian Fall Protection 2602 Wind Hook Accessory Kit

If you have ever used a wall jacket you all know the dangers involved, this accessory is a must for me. It helps keep your 2x4 straight, secure and flexible without fear of knife jacking from underneath you. A must have for the safety of you and your helpers.

Used to raise two 10 foot tall x 20 foot long timber frame walls, I had one on each end; without them I would not have been able to raise the walls. i did it alone, and they work great. Just make sure you are going up only; as it is next to imposssible to go back down with them.

These did the job in helping me secure the 2x4's . They gave me a stable base that did not kickout which is the reason I purchased these.

I was so glad I bought this when I began raising the large 12'x20' sheeted wall for my off-grid cabin by myself. As I started the raising process using the wall jack, a storm blew in and down came the rain and the winds started to really pick up. This and the wall jack, held the wall in place until I could get it straight and braced. I unwillingly tested this Qualcraft product and it passed with flying colors. Had I not bought this with my wall jack, the wall would have blown over and I would have had to tear it down and rebuild it the next day.

Works as advertised and made well. Only reason for 4 star is the cable can easily pop out of end fitting and seeing how this is a safety feature that's not too great

We purchased this product for use with the Qualcom Wall Jack, which we attempted to use for raising a beam as designed. Beam was about 300lbs, raising to 9 feet, within specs and tolerances for product. Purchased straight, high quality 2x4 as directed to use with jack. During the lift the 2x4 blew out, took out the ladder the operator was standing on (you have to stand near the jack and on a ladder to raise it as it gets higher). The operator hit the ground, then the beam fell on operator's foot, injuring him. He easily could have been killed. The 2x4 ended up split driven into the hill behind.For THIS PRODUCT - the accessory wind hook - the steel cable tore right off the brackets, which stayed attached to the beam. The entire wall jack and accessory wind hook construct is dangerous and I highly recommend against trusting this product for anything.

Worked very well, though for attaching the safety cable to a 12 pitch gable wall, we had to add a block, because the the cable is short, and pulled against the jack.
