Moen YG2824ORB Bathroom Safety 24-Inch Stainless Steel Transitional Bathroom Grab Bar, Oil-Rubbed Bronze

It was exactly as advertised and matched my fixtures

Nicely matches the rubbed bronze hardware in our new shower upgrade.

I ordered these bars (24", 12") because they matched our other bathroom fixtures. The installer (professional) was surprised that they didn't come with templates for installation. Also, he indicated that the end caps just "snap" on, but don't have additional screw. Two days later, one of the caps popped off. The installer returned and had to add a glue. They look great, but I'm a little nervous -- will the caps pop off again?

The cover end caps did not click in place with eiether of the two moen hand bars I bought12 and 18”. My contractor used sealant and now I’m Very careful- crisscrossing my fingers they won’t slide off. It’s fairly new so they have not yet come apart. My contractor thought they would eventually slide down. I would not purchase again because if this. Other buyers beware.

The ridges on the back of the bar make it much more secure to hold on to. It looks nicer than the industrial ones but it is hard to get the two end covers to click in securely. Once issue we had that probably won't be an issue for other people is after this was installed in our bathroom it was damaged by the contractors. Big deal - right? Just buy a new one! Nope - the plates with the bolt holes at both ends of the bar are welded on sort of randomly during manufacturing. The bolt holes on the new one didn't line up with the bolt holes on the old one so the contractor had to modify the bolt holds on the new one to make them line up with the holes drilled in the tile.

Disliked fit up of end cap escutcheons do not cover or fit close to rail diameter. This may be due to the ability to allow them to slide out of the way around and over curvature of the rail. The gaps are just too great for the look. It has a taken away from what I feel is a good shower stall remodeling job. Beware of brush nickel finish matchup. All metal finishes are not equal between different mfg products and you really have not way of knowing before ordering. Good luck.

Moen made a great grab bar for the shower. Installation was easy once studs were identified in the shower stall. Looks and works great.

Grab rails are a good shade of brush nickel in relation to what I have already install in our bathroom. The issue I find is with the covers and how open of the gap id of end cap covers to rail od diameter. I guess end cap covers have to be larger to slide over the curve of handrail bar. I believe over time I will have to remove to clean out soap build up under the cover. Directions were easy to follow. All pieces went together without problem.

A anti-slip property would be useful when grabbing the bar.
