Other than damage to the corner of the Stainless Steele top, which was disappointing I love this kitchen island. This was a gift for my mother and she didn’t want to return it. She liked the one I bought for myself, so I bought this for her kitchen in her new home.

Great little island for a small kitchen. The easiest piece of furniture I have ever put together. Also came in pristine condition.

Update: the second item we were sent was damage free and built correctly. It’s the perfect little compact extra workspace for my kitchen, and the stainless top cleans up easily. The drawers close smoothly. I especially like the turned wood legs - the body of the piece is real wood and very sturdy.Original review: Serious damage to the top of the counter (the box and packaging was fine, leading me to believe they packed it like this) and the holes pre-drilled for the towel bar are not lined up, as you can see in the photos. We’ve sent for a replacement - I will update this if the issue is resolved.

The unit itself is quite beautiful but it's so disappointing to realize you are missing major parts. I was ready to assemble the unit and display it and got through the whole box and realized it was missing all four wheels and the towel rack. Amazon does not help you in any way. You have to contact the manufacturer, which I did, and have them help you. I just emailed them as it's Saturday and they aren't in so I have no idea how they will help me. I hope they don't make me pay for the parts when Amazon's description said they were included. I'll update when they respond. Other than that, it's pretty easy to assemble. Tearing off the white paper is kind of annoying so be prepared to spend a good 15 to 20 minutes doing that.

This is absolutely stunning, sturdy, functional, and well-worth the money. Assembly by myself was pretty straightforward and took 45 minutes. The most tedious part was peeling off the protective film on the stainless steel top, but I’d prefer this since it did a great job of protecting it against scratches. There’s a small dent in one corner, but the packing was superb. For how large and heavy this piece is, I’m impressed that that was the only defect (and a minor one at that). I would absolutely purchase again and am recommending it to others!

The material of the wood itself seems very sturdy and the design is quite nice. I was disappointed with the assembly because despite putting it together and following the instructions to the letter, the screws in the very bottom legs would not hold and the threads wouldn’t catch. This caused the other legs on the upper shelves to become loose due to the tension design. Hope I can figure out a way to fix this and make it more stable because I don’t want it collapsing on one of the three pets I live with.
