This is the amazing story of Tony Fadell, the immensely talented inventor of the iPod ...
When Tony Fadell was a boy he really enjoyed music, but that wasn’t unusual. What was unusual was that he was also into engineering. He wanted to know how things worked and “learned how to build and fix things at a very young age.” His grandfather was his mentor and it was with his help he learned things such as electrical wiring. Tony really, really, really wanted an Apple Ile computer, but how to get the money? The best way to get what you want was to work for it and that he did. As a golf caddie he made some money and his grandfather helped him with the rest.Tony definitely was a quick learn and “invented a new processor for the Apple II computer” five years after he purchased his own. The best part of everything was that he “sold his idea to the company that had made his computer.” Tony was off and running on his engineering career and he wasn’t even out of high school! Next up was college and then he was off to none other than Silicon Valley. Where else with a young man with mega-talent go? He worked with a start-up, then a small, but more established company, and then a biggie, Philips Electronics. There were a couple of cool handhelds created under his management, but Tony had something else in mind. As a part-time DJ, he “wanted to find a way to save all of his music in one small device.” It sure would make things easier, but how and what could he create to do the job? Then the phone rang, a call that would ultimately help him realize his dream. In this book you’ll read about Tony’s jobs, his company, his move to Apple, how he worked on the creation of the iPod, his meeting with Steve Jobs, and you’ll learn many other things about this fascinating inventor and “electronics visionary.”This is the amazing story of Tony Fadell, the immensely talented inventor of the iPod. Many students are way into exploring not only the inventions, but enjoy looking at the people behind them. Tony Fadell is one of the inventors whose creations are owned by young people, or are at least familiar to them. The book has a simple layout with full-color photographs and numerous informative sidebars. For example, the one entitled “Dulcimer” discusses the super-secret Apple project and code names used during the creation of the iPod. In the back of the book is an index, a glossary, a timeline (1969 to 2013), source notes, and additional recommended book and website resources to explore.STEM TRAILBLAZER BIOS: Alternate Reality Game Designer: Jane McGonigal Astrophysicist and Space Advocate: Neil deGrasse Tyson Flickr Cofounder and Web Community Creator: Caterina Fake Google Glass and Robotics Innovator: Sebastian Thrun iPod and Electronics Visionary: Tony Fadell YouTube Founders: Steve Chen, Chad Hurley, and Jawed Karim This book courtesy of the publisher.

Basically a kid's book.
I was expecting a biography of one of the tech world's more interesting people. This is basically a slim book intended for use in schools that tells you hardly anything at all in rather simplistic language. Not recommended.

Decepcionante
Es solo un panfleto de 20 páginas maquetado por un niño de primaria.
