Battery gets better and better
I received a new 100 amp-hour lead-acid battery for my small solar installation, and it tested bad right out of the box. I tested the battery with the same professional battery tester I use for vehicles, the Ancel BA-101" (also from Amazon), and it gave a "0% Healthy" report for the new battery, gave a report of several hundred milli-Ohms internal resistance of the battery, and said "Replace" as the bottom line. That same bad report persisted after several full chargings and partial dischargings of the battery, trying to force it to better health. But, no-go!This desulfator took two cycles of desulfating-charging, desulfating-charging, before it brought the health up to "34% Healthy", and about 6 milli-Ohms internal resistance. Impressive! What a relief.I'll continue with these desulfating-charging cycles until the Health is brought up to close to 100%, and the internal res. remains very low. The device's instruction booklet advises that it may take as few as three cycles of desulfating-charging to bring a sulfated battery to health, or it may take a month. I'll persist!, with that understanding about how sulfating can be stubborn and require some patience to remove.I think my newly arrived battery may have been in storage a long time before it was sold, and maybe that is how it became sulfated, from dis-use. A Pb-acid battery must be cycled from 100% to about 50% state-of-charge pretty regularly in order to be healthy and to remain healthy for years.A good site on the 'net to learn about batteries is "Battery University", which can be found by a search.I'm very happy with this little desulfator, and will continue learning with it, and using it. And I would not be without the Ancel BA-101 tester no matter what (these two make a great combination of tools).More power to everyone,--Joe / W7DXW

As advertised
It appears to function as advertised lights blinking Etc it will take four to five years to really know if it accomplished extending the life of the battery.

Nicely done standalone lead acid desulfator for 12v, 24v, 36v, or 48v gel cell battery packs
This is our 2nd desulfator; we are making it a standard for customers who have lead acid gel cel battery packs for Light EVs. Chargers with desulfating modes are very pricey, including these sub $20 units for 13v-48v battery packs with new chargers is much more cost effective. For many chargers, we replace the battery pack charge connector with a powerpole 15A or 30A black/red pair and then add a powerpole pair to the pigtail with the connector. Then we put a powerpole pair on the desulfator so that the battery pack owner can simply disconnect the powerpole after charging and attach the desulfator.Just note that the desulfator only works if the battery pack is charged to above a preset voltage.Pros: + simple to use + nice included information card, BUT see below + very effective with gel cel battery packs nominally 12v, 24v, 36v, or 48vCons: - lack of information on the mode button used to manually change the voltage range from 12, to 24, to 36, to 48v. - minimum voltage required to start the desulfating process is not documentedAll in all a great device to have where you have standard voltage 12v, 24v, 36v, or 48v lead acid battery packs!

It's blinking, but.....
The unit is blinking, but I have no idea how to know when it's done. There is no apparent "Done" indicator or mention in the manual on how to know when it's done desulfering the battery. It says you may have to run it multiple times. How am I supposed to know if it needs another cycle?

Works as advertised.
This product does what it says. I had a bank of 36v batteries that had sat idle for most of last year. Each individual battery had good voltage and acid strength but the bank seemed to discharge too quickly. I put this on per the directions and it ran its cycle for over 30 hours. After a couple of charge/discharge cycles the bank recovered near original battery life. It saved me hundreds of dollars I would have spent on new batteries.

Fast shipping
I have it hooked up now, the light is blinking so it's working. As far as desulficating, it will be determined. Not a fan of the small alligator clips as they are hard to put on the battery terminals.
