I used these both on their own and with the extra plate that gets attached to the piece of furniture. They were very easy to install and feel super secure. One is anchoring a bookshelf around the metal pole structure, the other is anchoring an Ikea Kallax 4x2 bookshelf that we have standing tall. Great purchase, definitely gives us peace of mind with our curious 10 month old!

Fairly easy to install. It will all depend on your wall. I'd recommend these to folks. I bought them cause I feel odd putting on those plastic ones even though I'm sure they work fine. I was looking for anchors that looked and felt better and with the reviews this gave, I went with these.

These feel super secure. Most other anchors we've used have only been 1 screw in the wall, which seems really easy to pull out. The fact that this uses 2 screws spread out a little makes it feel much more secure. Even the ones that use a plastic zip tie make me nervous. This uses a metal braid wire.Installation is easy and they don't even have to be lined up perfectly. Once both sides are screwed into place, you just attach the wire with the little twist knob and it's good to go. I've recommended these to numerous people already.

Great for securing IKEA furniture to the wall in a tight space. Screws are long and grip the studs firmly. Wire anchors are easy to secure. Best $9 I’ve spent in a while.

As someone who lost a child to a furniture tip-over (yes it happens, in fact tip overs send a child to the ER every 45 minutes!), I test anchors frequently. With so many on the market it's hard to tell which one is the best. This one is not it. It's a great idea, but like 99% of other anchors on the market, they are not tested for safety! My 155lb husband's weight was enough to break the steel cable with a straight line force before he even applied his full weight. You may think that's crazy, my kid doesn't weigh that much, but it's about physics, not just weight.In order to prevent a tip-over, the anchor has to hold the weight of the furniture, whatever is in/on it, and the weight of a child climbing, hanging, or otherwise applying forces to the furniture to cause it to become unstable and tip. This often adds up to 100 pounds or more, depending on the furniture and the weight of the child and how they are using the dresser. The steel cable is great for luggage tags, but NOT safe for anchoring furniture. It's important to note anchors also have to be in solid wood, not drywall. All metal anchors are better than ones that contain plastic, but they also have to work. I recommend the Hangman furniture anchor or L brackets you can get at the hardware store with long screws instead of this style of anchor.

Simple product to install. I love that its metal wires and I am comfortable knowing it could hold the weight of my closet.
