Baume & MercierMen's 8592 Classima Automatic Leather Strap Watch

I bought one of these watches at a Ben Bridge store and it worked for about a year. It stopped keeping time. I had them take it and send it back to get it fixed under warranty. They did. It stopped again a short time later. They sent it back. Finally, after going back a third time to Switzerland to be "fixed" I just put the thing in a drawer and gave up on it. It looks great, but it just won't keep running or keep time. I bought a timex after that. It still runs just fine.

This watch was given to me as a gift. I couldn't afford it otherwise, so take my review for what it's worth.After wearing it on a regular basis for about 6 months, I looked at it one day and saw a chip in the quartz crystal right up next to the bezel. I was dumbfounded, because I had zero recollection of hitting in on anything in the recent past. It was a big enough chip that it would have taken significant force to break it, and I certainly would have remembered because I was very cautious with it knowing its value and irreplaceability (to myself). Furthermore, since it was up against the stainless steel bezel, it stands to reason that if something hit it with that kind of force, the bezel would at least have a scratch on it, which it doesn't. Which leads me to believe that the crystal may have been under pressure from an improper fit in the bezel, causing it to finally "give." However that's just my theory.My real complaint was when I sent it to Baume & Mercier asking if they could just put a new crystal on it. I didn't expect it to be cheap, but I certainly wasn't expecting them to profit off my misfortune considering the purchase price. They said they can't "just replace the crystal". On any repair, they require a "full restoration" and servicing which is a minimum of $600. Mind you the watch is only about 14 months old and other then the chip, still looks brand new. I told them if I was going to basically buy a refurbished watch to just skip it and I would wait until it breaks all the way. Which in that case, once it's worn out for good, it's nice to know what it costs to get it fixed. Until then, the chip lives on...

The watch itself is very well made. The face is simple yet elegant and doesn't scratch or even smug. The only problem I have had with the watch is that the wrist band it came with started to wear slightly not long after I received the watch. Still an excellent purchase regardless.

After receive this watch, I immediately love it so much!Its elegant and simple design, clean and white dial, crisp tick, ... really impressed me a lot!

It's a watch you can wear pretty much for any ocassion. Only downside is that if you own several watches and stop using this for a couple of days, you need to adjust time and date.

Watch has been reaced in perfect condition.It works very good and after sales customer service gave and confirmed me autenthicity and warranty about it

This is a very good watch for the money. It is classy and attracts a lot of attention for sure. Its simple white dial is very pleasing to look at. The merchant delivered it on time and I really was pleased.
