Beach holiday in a book and dreamy book boyfriend!
Mia Sosa writes some of the best book boyfriends and plays with tropes with such skill it’s always a pleasure to enjoy one of her books. This one starts with a holiday that brings the reader to Aruba, a particular treat when we can’t otherwise travel. From there, the writing is fast, witty, and heartfelt. Another winner!

steamy
I won this book as a Goodreads Kindle giveaway and I was pleasantly surprised. I usually am more of a Regency Romance girl, but decided to try something new... and free. I was totally hooked by the time the plane ride to Aruba came to an end. Carter was very sexy and down to earth... even with his scruffy beard. Tori is not out to play games, but cannot deny her attraction to Carter. She was a strong female character which I appreciated. There are scenes in the book so steamy that I had to share them with some of my girlfriends. Now they only want me to read books like this and screen shot them the "good parts". I also loved Carter's sense of humor. My 3 star rating is a good one for me... that means I liked the story enough to keep me interested and read it pretty fast (less than 2 days). I will be reading the next in the Love on Cue series as soon as it comes out.

Just okay
I won my copy from Goodreads. It was ok. I liked Carter. He seemed to be wanting Tori and was always changing to her needs and demands. I did not like tori. She was a wishy washy heroine. She was not an independent strong woman. I wanted her to own her decisions and stop living in the past.

So much fun!
Real characters, living real lives in a real world created by a super talented writer and storyteller.Sosa took a what should have been an improbable premise and made it completely plausible because she made the people -- and their journey -- believable.Sosa's history as an entertainment lawyer probably helped her coming off as false when writing Carter's experiences in the industry, but it was her knowledge of people, and her skill at bringing them to life on the page, is really what carried the story.Best of all, she made Tori-not-short-for-Victoria and Carter LIKEABLE! I found myself rooting for BOTH of them to get what they wanted, even when that meant Tori wanted to be left alone while Carter was fantasizing about putting a ring on it. (Yeah, I knew that wouldn't work, but I liked them both so much!)

Sassy heroine!
Have I ever loved a romance heroine more than I've loved Tori? No. The answer is no.For some reason, this didn't pack quite the emotional punch for me that some other books I've read recently have. It was fun, and it was sexy, and Carter and Tori are one of my new favorite couples. I think I wanted more. I think I had trouble connecting some of the dots, especially when Tori was making sweeping decisions for them and their relationship. I definitely liked the book, and I want to read the rest of the series (RIGHT NOW), because I love Mia Sosa's writing. But I wanted more out of this one.
