Very well written, most imformative. Was for my 14 yr old grandson.

I like all the charts and planet information but for me it could have been a little more simple.

It was the book I liked

This is the book I was looking for. It has everything a novice or experienced stargazer needs. I found all the 88 constellations in alphabetical order with all the related information quite interesting and very accurate; each constellation has its map very detailed made by the world's foremost celestial cartographer. The solar system section is just as great, full of interesting information and great pictures. In this book you won't find formulas, hard to understand graphics or hard to grasp astronomy concepts. Everything is described in a simple but accurate manner. It, together with "The monthly sky guide", by the same authors, are my two best books that I definitely suggest anyone interesting in stargazing to purchase.
