The Modengzhe 2 Pcs DC 12V EL Wire Inverter worked as designed; I connected them to the El Wire .

Quiet. Which is very nice
Much quieter (because it's potted)

it melted and almost caught fire. A lot of smoke and a black melted mess.
have EL wire providing backlight for switches. Replaced failed inverters with these and I have had no problem for months until one day it started to smoke. The unit melted and all insulation on the wires melted away.
