Mega Construx Halo Warthog Run

I've mostly collected the Mega Construx Halo sets when they showed up at a brick and mortar discount store. I've always found the sets a little over priced, though not nearly as bad as Lego, but this one was a no brainer. First off, hunters. That was far and away my biggest reason for getting it. I played Halo 1 repeatedly and now I have one or more grunts, elites, jackals, and now hunters round out my set. No flood yet, but oh well. Hunters stand about 1.5-2x the height of other characters and look pretty good, not perfect, but good.I also finally got a Master Chief which was nice. His armor is sort of metallic, kind of. Looks great. The Elite is jut remarkable and way better than the nameless ones I had before. Most surprising, I really liked the warthog. I had little interest, but it looks so good and they even got a bouncy independent suspension worked out. How long it lasts depends on how long the rubber pieces hold together, but worst case it'll just sort of sit low and still drive.As another reviewer put it, buy this now. Otherwise, you'd pay way more from 3rd party sellers later on. Heck, Master Chief alone will cost you about $5, so even if you assume $5 a figure (hunters would certainly cost more), the total package is very fairly priced. You also get a bookmark block thing and one of those brick splitter tools, so all in all great set. Thanks for putting all good stuff and not spreading out with unwanted filler items!

When I ordered this, it was 16.99, which is an amazing price, since I value this at 35 dollars. Why? Because it’s freaking awesome! Every figure in this set is in at least one other set, but those other ones, which are now retired, are insanely overpriced. The Warthog itself is sturdy and rolls nicely, and also has pretty good suspension. The Figures are very detailed, and relatively sturdy. Master Chief’s shoulder armor thingies (forgot what they’re called) are a little loose, and slide up and down his shoulders, but this is most likely a rare defect in the set I got. No one else seems to have this problem. However, they don’t actually fall off his arms, so it’s all good. One other thing, if this was a lego set, not only would the figures and vehicle have little details, but there probably would be only one, if any, Hunters. But Mega Construx appreciates detail, and has the knowledge that in the games, Hunters always fight in pairs. Overall, this set, like many other Mega Construx, is worth buying and has an amazing price. The 10th anniversary golden flamethrower is another reason to get this, if you’re a collector.

This set is once in a lifetime dream for fans. Both Arbiter and Master Chief, two hunters, and a warthog. If you are a fan of Halo (2 and 3 to be specific) or just like building cars and making crazy military battles. Go for it

I've been waiting for a re-release of the Arbiter for quite a while, and this set did a great job on his figure details (although I don't understand why they gave him a tan head).With this set, you get two exclusive figures, a classic Halo vehicle, and two hunters, which are hard to find these days unless you want an over-priced, used set. They actually included a tool for helping to pull bricks apart, as well as numbering some of the bags the way LEGO does. This is an excellent replica of the old warthog. My only minor grievance is that the rear bumper is still not very firmly mounted like the other warthog sets, although you could easily fix this yourself with a few extra parts and alterations.

This is great to grab now for Halo fans. This is an awesome 10 year anniversary edition and I believe it’s a great idea to pick up for either putting together and leaving up, keeping in the box or playing with it for kids...and big kids (adults). This will most likely be worth money some day...but my kids won’t let me find that out because there is no way in this house of Halo loving peeps could stand leaving it in the box...this is a pretty cool set to have and it’s diverse, classic and just awesome. These are getting tougher to find locally for me (regular ones) but this is a good little collection to get the creative juices flowing. If you don’t keep it in the box, there are plenty of opportunities to keep you or the kids going for a while.Pros:CollectibleNice diversityHalo!!Cons:Not the cheapest
