Smells amazing when you open the jar, but when burning it's a bit of a let down as it's not super fragrant. Overall a nice quality candle but a bit pricey for the size and scent. i will buy more candles from this seller, as i do love supporting small businesses, but i'll save buying for special occasions as they are a bit pricey when compared to some of the other candle brands. Nicely made, and the customer service of the seller is quite awesome...

I am rather particular about candles which is why I have bought so few in my life. I like my candles to burn slowly and cleanly (no popping, fast burning, black smoke-production) while smelling very pleasant. The slow burning means that while this candle is expensive, it is already showing it will last much longer than I expected. I burned it 5-6 hours yesterday and see the level of wax has fallen, at most, .25 in.I did follow the insert from Shortie's Candle Company which recommended 4h minimum burn time or until the top layer of wax is entirely melted. It took me 5-6 h to get the top layer melted entirely to the edge (to the glass). I also trimmed my wick to .25 in high before I relit the candle today.This candle comes in a safe glass container (the wick is well below the surface of the jar) which is always a concern when living in a wooden cabin in a rather parched forest. (Of course, I never leave it unattended, either.) It also has a high quality lid so the wax surface won't get dusty if I start using it less.Most importantly to me, the candle smells like melting chocolate. It gives off a subtle scent as if a chocolate cake is baking in the oven. However, after a couple of hours, the scent is moderately strong. After 5 hours of burning the candle yesterday, the scent was so strong it was almost overwhelming. However, it was, apparently not too much at all, as I eagerly lit it again today and am vastly looking forward to that culmination of chocolate-scented olfactory satisfaction.Since the smell is so appealing (smells like a real dessert and not one of those gross simulations that is sickeningly cloying), the container is very safe with a lid and the candle burns so slowly and well, I ordered two more candles today. Then, I will take turns using chocolate fudge versus white chocolate mint versus vanilla hazelnut. That way, I can fulfill all my sweet-tooth cravings without eating any dessert :)

This candle claims to be nontoxic (fragrance) but it gave me a horrible headache before I even lit it, as soon as I opened it, which makes me believe that the fragrances used are NOT nontoxic, as I don’t react to any other nontoxic candles. It is very unethical to claim a product is nontoxic when that’s not the case. ALSO: it claims to be 9 oz, but this other candle I bought on Amazon (that did not give me a headache) says it’s 9 oz and it much larger, so I believe this candle company is also lying about the size. Returning and will not purchase again.

I did not have any of the problems that some of the naysayers discussed. The scent was perfect and the “throw” was superb. The burn was even and presented no carbon buildup. (Perhaps the negative reviewers need to assess their own indoor air quality before assuming the candle is at fault.) This was perfect. It smells natural and delicious. Prepare to work up an appetite for a sumptuous and decadent dessert!

I bought this candle for my daughter, for her 16th birthday. She loves candles and chocolate in any form, especially brownies! So I thought this would be a great gift!! She absolutely loved it and it smells amazing, even when it's not lit!

Who would accept a candle that looked as if it had been pulled from a junk pile? Lid didn't fit, label was not attached flat, candle had been lit (wick was black), and the wax was crumbly! I think you'd better give up on getting someone to accept that one!

Happily surprised at the strong pleasant scent of these candles. It came securely wrapped in bubble wrap. And the smell (chocolate fudge brownie) is strong enough to fill the house with a pleasant chocolatey aroma. I can even smell it when its not lit if I'm in the same room as the candle. Yankee is no longer my favorite that's for sure. I am definitely going to be buying more scents to try. I just wish there was more to choose from!

I purchased this brand of candle before and the scent was heavenly! The fudge scent does remind me of chocolate fudge. Burns clean and lasts a long time. My new fave candle.
