The vast majority of total studies in the oral light therapy field focus on orthodontics. It’s no surprise that researchers are interested in this, because there is evidence that tooth movement speed in people with braces can potentially increase when red light is applied. This means that by using an appropriate light therapy device, you might be able to get rid of your braces much sooner and get back to enjoying food and life. As mentioned above, red light from an appropriate device might help to reduce pain, which is the most significant and common side effect of orthodontic treatment. Pretty much everyone who wears braces has moderate to severe pain in their mouth, on an almost daily basis. This can negatively affect which foods they are prepared to eat and can cause dependence on traditional painkillers such as ibuprofen and paracetamol. Light therapy is an interesting and not commonly thought of idea to potentially help with the pain from braces

This device really works!
I had dental surgery this past week involving two major extractions of two large molars, bone grafts, pins for the implants when healed, and sutures. I was really worried about having to take strong pain meds. I was given a prescription for an opioid which I told the doctor I won't take if I don't have to. Everything went well at the dentist since I have one of the best dentist around, in my estimation. But it wasn't easy getting it all done. Drilling, tugging, lots of blood flow, nerve block (yes, I was awake through the whole procedure) and of course the sutures. When the nerve block wore off I was in pain of course. I took two extra strength Tylenols. Then later that night took another. The next day I took the device and used it for 20 minutes in the morning. Then later on in the day used it again. Then later that night talking to my sister on the phone telling her that I hadn't taken any Tylenol at all, she reminded me about the oral device. It dawned on me that since I used it, I had very little pain afterward. And today I feel no need to take any. Last year I had an extraction with a smaller tooth and that pain lasted for at least three weeks. My sister recently had an extraction last month and said her pain lasted as long. Yet, upon using this device I'm not experiencing anywhere near the pain I thought I would. My sister has ordered a unit for herself. So I would have to say this device does work, or at least it worked for me. When I go back for a follow up I'm going to show my dentist the device. As I'm typing this I'm still amazed that in spite of the serious dental work I had on Monday I'm not feeling all that badly. What's nice is I can plug this device into my computer while I work on it so it's convenient for me to use. Last year I also had a lot of dental work involving root canals, bridge, and crowns. I wish I had known about this device back then.

in need of a 3rd one after 7 months
im tired of these things dying down. the 1st one they said i used the wrong soap but it ended up being a loose wire so I made sure to be extra careful with my new one & low & behold, its acting up again. i was using a gentle dish soap too. it doesn't work plugged into my phone anymore, when its plugged into my laptop i have to hold it a certain way to it works. i don't want to keep getting a new one spending 100s of dollars. I'm looking for a more durable option.Bottom is my last review.I had thought that dawn ultra was a mild dish detergent until Tals told me the reason why my oral device was acting up. Make sure it is mild or the silicone will wear out quickly. They offered a 49$ off new original red light 16 light device. & was patient & answered pretty quick. I have yet to get the new one & use it, but if i dont come back to this review, it’s because its working amazingly like how it was before i broke it. My gums are SO much healthier after getting gingivitis. My teeth even look whiter & i was not expecting that.

Love it, but needs to be better manufactured
Took me awhile to buy this because I didn’t want to waste my money. I bought it and honestly it lasted for almost 8 months! I don’t even know if it actually worked for me but sometimes these processes take a while (plus there was probably tooMuch inflammation for it to be truly effective for me personally). I only took a star off because honestly I feel it broke way too easily. I plugged it in and I accidentally jilted back for some reason, while in my mouth and boom, I think there was a disconnection, because the cord connecting to the mouth piece kept going in and out and proceeded not to work. Wish I could exchange it for a new one. Maybe I can. Will find out and update this.

This item SAVED ME
I purchased this item a little over four months ago when I was in extreme pain due to a busted back tooth. There was no way I was going to my dentist due to Covid fears! After fixing the tooth as best as I could using a dental repair kit I was still in extreme pain. This lady’s Customer Service was above and beyond and she answered all my questions. I knew that laser therapy worked but an FDA approved Laser Pen with a dental tip is very awkward to work with on your self and dangerous because you do not want to look directly at the laser light reflecting back at you from the mirror. This item was perfect and it did ALL my teeth, upper and lower. It did take about a good three weeks before the pain was almost gone and now I only use it once every other day for maintenance. I am in no pain whatsoever and do not plan on seeing my dentist until I get my Covid shots! The item itself is very well-made and simple to use. Thank you Tal.

Bought 3 and they were amazing but all died within 4 months
Not wanting to share something we put in our mouths we bought one for each family member. That was October. The first one died in November. It took the other two a couple more months to stop working correctly and ultimately all 3 bit the dust completely by February. With that said the product did work well for the intended purpose they were just far too fragile for every day use... especially considering the price. If they were closer to $25 I would not mind the fact that they are basically a disposable item but for something that costs $100 I would at least like to get a year's service out of them. With the coronavirus going around I am wanting to buy another similar product to avoid the need for dental visits during the crisis but I just cannot bring myself to buy another of these with such an awful track record.
