This is one of the best designed cookbooks I own. Really usable - by Ferran Adria no less. If you ever looked through "A day at El Bulli" (which is NOT a cookbook), or Keller's "French Laundry Cookbook", they're OK picture books, but the recipes are not easy to execute. This book is a different story - and it tells you how to do the basics well (poaching eggs, making aioli, etc.). It's like what Apple did to software - totally user friendly via a visual interface. I'd give SIX stars if that were possible.

Impressively illustrated and detailed instructions for basic recipes and 31 three-course meals. No fluff or personal stories, just essential information. The book also includes a glossary and an index. A superbly presented cookbook, it is sophisticated and practical and should not be intimidating to someone with moderate cooking skills.

Oh my goodness I have just received this and I can see it a book I am going to use a LOTBeautiful pictures describing how to cook the recipes and SO many ones I want to cook
