Works ok doesn't pull many channels in

Does not seem to work
The unit was easy to install but it does not seem to work. Very weak signal and a lot of static. I made up a simple length of wire instead attached to my COAX cable to the reciever and the signal was stronger but still static. I have ordered anooher type of antenna and then I will know if the problem was the antenna or not.
