Great product!
I was having minor surgery this past winter and wanted something easy to do in the crafts department. This was perfect. It's the original Sashay brand which to me is important I love their quality of product. It's easy to do, really simple. I bought 3 different colors and just to be safe one crochet hook. It arrived in brand new condition. What fun! They are a great weight that can be worn year round for a fun accent. The instructions on the inside of the wrap around band were quite simple and clear. Thanks!

Loved this yarn so much I ordered more
I bought this yarn to make some scarfs to give as gifts even though from looking at it in the skein it looks a little plain so I was a little skeptical of how they would actually turn out. I absolutely loved how this turned out. I made several different colors of scarfs and this was by far my favorite. I even ordered another skein so I could make myself one.

Fewer Flaws & Easier to Work than Other Sashay Boutique Yarns
This review is for Sashay Sparkle yarn, but I've included info about other Sashay ruffle scarf yarns because not all are good.A little over a year ago, I crocheted my first ruffle scarf using Boutique Sashay yarn (had a very thin silver thread woven through one edge). The yarn was easy to work and made a scarf 6' 26" long. I made another one without problems. For the next scarf, I used Sashay SPARKLE (1/4" wide silver edge on one side). Sashay SPARKLE yarn, being reviewed, also had a stable crochet/knit edge and was easy to crochet. I made at least three more using the SPARKLE yarn, without any flaws or problems. Again, the finished scarves were over 6 ft. long. I recommend the SPARKLE yarn over the others even though I LOVE the look of the Sashay SEQUIN yarn the most. Read on for info on the other styles of Sashay ruffle scarf yarns. With both the Boutique Sashay and Sparkle yarns, there were absolutely NO flaws, holes, broken/ragged edges or weak crochet edge. This year, I bought my first 2 balls of Sashay METALLIC yarn. What a mess! The top edge that you crochet/knit was extremely weak. As I pulled the tenth (last) stitch through all the stitches on the hook, the last stitch unraveled to become ONE thin, very weak thread measuring 1-2 inches long! I unraveled the entire scarf and started again, being very careful. The same thing happened. Because I had to drive 70 miles RT to return/exchange the yarn, and had just had knee surgery, I decided to continue crocheting this yarn, hoping the finished scarf would look nice. After crocheting about 2.5 ft. of this first Metallic yarn scarf, I came upon a huge knot (two ends of same yarn tied together) with large holes on each side. I had to cut off the know and holes, losing about 1.5 ft. of yarn. Then I had to fold over each end, then overlap them 2 inches and crochet through all 4 layers. THIS IS NOT EASY to do.I continued to crochet on this scarf. After another 2-3 ft., I came across another big flaw: The end of one section of yarn had been overlapped with the end of another piece and all had been stitched heavily. I could not continue crocheting through the overlap (it was stiff and very visible), so AGAIN I had to cut away several inches and do the overlap thing again. SO ANNOYING and a WASTE of my TIME. The finished scarf was only 5 ft long and the crocheted edge was extremely weak.In spite of this bad experience with the Sashay Metallic yarn, I started another scarf with the second ball of Metallic yarn BIG mistake. The second ball was worse than the first--more flaws. This scarf was about 5 ft. long, too.Wanting to make more ruffle scarves, as requested by friends and family, I decided to try the newer Sashay SEQUIN yarn. The first scarf was easy. the crochet/knit edge was stable and easy to work. The finished scarf was beautiful and about 6.5 ft. long. I started the second Sashay SEQUIN scarf. Once again, after crocheting, I came to a messy knot with lots of large holes on each side. I had to cut off 26", overlap, etc. and continue. I unrolled and flattened a few feet of the yarn and didn't see any more flaws, so I continued to crochet. Guess what? Yes, I came upon another two feet of serious flaws: The yarn was full of large holes and the sequined edge was full of cuts, and full of folds that had been stitched over. The Sequin edge was ragged. I cut out another 2 ft., overlapped and continued. The finished scarf was barely 5 ft. long. Five feet is long enough to fold the scarf and wrap around your neck, but the tails are very short.Okay, I'm either an idiot or a glutton for punishment-- or both -- for NOT unwinding the entire ball of yarn and checking for flaws before beginning to crochet.Avoid Sashay METALLIC yarn. UNROLL & inspect ALL other Sashay yarns before starting a scarf. By the way, Red Heart said that the knots and overlaps are "normal"! Really?I used exactly the same number of stitches when crocheting ALL these yarns.
