I bought a LUCID 12" hybrid latex mattress. I am a combo back and side sleeper, and my wife is primarily a side sleeper. We both struggled with lower back pains and hip/shoulder/neck pains on our old mattress. We are both average build. The LUCID was much firmer than expected. It provided great support and helped alleviate the lower back pain, but my wife continued to have hip and shoulder soreness due to the firmness.I am almost certain the LUCID's latex comfort layer is not 100% natural latex. I looked at it, and it seems to be a synthetic blend in my opinion. I still loved the feel, and bounce of latex compared to memory foam so I started looking for a soft latex topper.The Pure Green latex topper was always ranked at the top when researching brands. I gave it a try, and went with the soft 2" topper as I felt our mattress didn't need a whole lot to solve our issues. I personally prefer a firmer surface, and the mattress was great for me. I needed a topper that could help my wife's pressure relief issues but still provide me the feel of the firm support of the new mattress. I wrote to Pure Green, and they suggested the 2" soft topper.It arrived in 2 days and was packaged very well. I will admit I was very worried when I first had the topper on the bed. It felt much too soft, and I wasn't sure it would have any effect. You must be careful when moving the topper around as it does seem you could easily tear it if you pull on a section. You almost need two people to pick it up and position it to avoid tearing. The topper was thin enough that I was able to place it inside the LUCID's mattress cover. That made it look as if it was part of the original mattress which was a plus.I initially didn't feel too much of a difference when I first laid on it. It was soft, but I could definitely still feel the firmness of the mattress below it. That was great for me, but I was not confident this would be enough padding to help my wife's issues. I was wrong. She has slept on it for 3 nights now and has not had sore hips or shoulders at all! We made a great mattress a "perfect" mattress! The 2" soft was just enough amount of cushion to relieve her pressure points during side sleeping.I am an ardent supporter of latex over memory foam as I just like the feel of latex better and the bounce it provides. If I could do anything over I may have bought a Talalay Latex over a Dunlop Latex, only because it would have been a tad more softer for my wife. But, overall I cannot complain as Pure Green's topper worked for us and the price was great!

Came on time, packaged nicely and protected. This latex topper is good for putting on a bed or being used with a 6 inch core or with another 3 inch topper in place of a mattress.Soft is not very supportive. It is for pressure points and adding just the smallest amount of extra cushion for hips/low back and shoulders to sink while the waist and lower chest (and ribs) remain elevated.Medium is for support and comfort. If pressure relief isn't super important, sleeping directly on medium is fine. It provides support and plenty of "give."Firm is exclusively for support. If you're a very "straight-bodied" person, you can sleep directly on this and feel comfortable. Otherwise it is best to top it with a soft or medium, or soft and medium.I personally received 3 inch medium and 3 inch soft. I'm male, 150lb, 5 foot 8. Not quite enough mattress to adequately support my weight on my side, but just enough for on my back. Would recommend getting 9 inches in total if you weigh more than me. I suggest getting the soft-medium, medium-medium, medium-firm, or soft-firm combo before getting your last 3 inches so you know how it will interact with your other two 3 inch layers.

Altho I ordered the softest version..it is a bit firmer than I expected...but have only experienced Memory Foam toppers...this has NO odor right out of the package!! One tip..take it out of the box..but keep the plastic wrapping on until U have it on Ur bed ..then remove the plastic wrap. ..this way, all U do is unfold it and adjust the placement. I AM VERY HAPPY with this purchase and highly recommend it for anyone looking to add a bit more 'softness' to their mattress. I use it on my Tempur-pedic mattress that was still too firm for my liking.
