Worked great for my first time recaning project
We had an old ladder back chair that needed the seat recaned so I thought I’d give it a shot. This is good material, and was the perfect length. I ended up with only about 6 feet left over. If you haven’t done this before, there are some good videos on YouTube. I made my own wedges and pegs out of scrap wood and sharpened pieces of small tree branches rather than buying them.

Good product
Good cost saving substitute for natural reed that most people will not even notice. It is stainable and sealable. It can be use on seats exposed to indirect weather.

Works well
I bought this for a 'test' chair I bought cheaply before attempting to redo my kitchen chairs we've had for nearly four decades. I watched the youtube videos and things came out okay for a first try. I believe I will use the smaller cordage when redoing the kitchen chairs. I like that look better. This cordage is paper based so one caution. Many videos suggest soaking the cordage anywhere from 20 to 30 minutes. I would suggest less because if you get it too wet it begins to unravel sometimes. You just retwist it. So it's not a big problem. This worked well for me.

No surprises. Good product.
Worked as expected, but wasn’t quite enough for one chair (pic shows how far I got with one coil on this dining chair). As others have noted, it’s just plain kraft paper so it’s not “brown” exactly. But it could be stained, if desired. Ordered a couple more coils to complete this one and start another.

Good quality
This was good quality. My husband re-did the bottom of a rocking chair.

Dye lots can be off if ordered separately. Buy all that you need at once.
Ran out of the bulk roll on the last of the 4 chairs I wove. The dye lot was off on the new roll I ordered but considering it was my first time restoring rush seats I let it go until they are needed to be redone again. Other than that the quality is great and easy to work with just order everything you need at once to ensure they all match before you do the work.

Satisfied with fiber rush
I've used 4 rolls of this. Seems to be a bit more loosely twisted that a roll from another source. Not really a problem thought. I did not weight ore measure length but I didn't notice an issue.
