iTrek 17mm ball joint windshield mount for Garmin Nuvi GPS

Strong suction and very reliable to use.

I bought this as a replacement for one where the plastic securing the hinge on the suction mechanism cracked after a several months of sun exposure on my dash. Once the hinge broke the mount lost suction easily. It remains to be seen whether this dash mount will last any better than the first one.Unfortunately, a lot of the plastics used in manufacturing items uses in car accessories do not hold up to heat and sun exposure. Even plastics used by auto manufacturers for auto trim & accessories do not hold up very well to heat & sun.

This is the manufactures replacement GPS windshield mount. Eventually the rubber suction cup failed on the original and this is the exact replacement. Expect it to last several years before the sun takes it toll. Parking in a garage would extend the lifetime considerably.

I liked it, the only complaint I have is the ball and socket are a loose fit, I had to put tissue paper in between to keep the GPS from moving
