Worked on a Falcon freewheel
I was fixing up an old Diamondback Outlook, which had a Falcon freewheel, and this worked like a charm. Had to use a big old pipe wrench to get it loose though! This tool stood up to the abuse of the pipe wrench without getting chewed up by the teeth, so it is definitely made of quality metal.

Must have for freewheel removal
Purchased to remove the Falcon brand freewheel sprocket from my old Huffy bike. Tried getting it off without it and it was not happening. Even with this tool and a ratchet it was too tight. I ended up using an impact wrench with this tool and it came right off. There was no damage to the tool or the freewheel assembly. Now I have it next time I need to do some maintenance. Park Tool makes great tools in my opinion and this one is priced fairly. Not worth purchasing an off brand in this case. This is the right tool for the job.

Quality made and the perfect fit for Falcon freewheels ....loving Park Tools
This is just what I needed to get the flywheel off of my Mongoose Malus. I am a newb when it comes to bicycle repair and maintenance with only memories of attempted repairs in my childhood. Park tools seem to be the go-to brand and I haven't gone wrong going to them for all of my bicycle related tools . The Parktool FR-7 is made for a Falcon freewheel and it fits perfectly .I had my freewheel off a lot faster than I thought I would with this remover . The splines are thick gauge metal so this should last quite some time . I did purchase a 16-inch crescent wrench to turn the FR-7 . A breaker bar and socket will also work . I did have a universal remover that wouldn't get past the axle and this fits perfectly. I am definetly sticking with Park Tools for all my bicycle tools this remover is top notch and made my job so much easier

Excellent quality, fits my Falcon freewheel perfectly
I needed to remove my freewheel so that I could overhaul the bearings inside the rear wheel hub. When I took the wheel off, I saw that it said "Falcon" on it. My cheap bike tool kit included a generic freewheel remover but it kept slipping inside the freewheel. I read more about the Falcon freewheel on Park Tool's website and found out about the difference between the FR-1 and the FR-7. This FR-7 fit perfectly. I was able to put a 12" adjustable wrench on it and break loose the freewheel without a problem. After repeated use, the splines show no wear.My only recommendation is that if the bolt head was a little bit wider, you could put a bigger wrench on it. However, I had no problems with a 12" adjustable wrench on it, so it's not a big deal.Excellent quality. I hope Park Tools continues to make all their tools in the USA.

Save Yourself Some Money. You Might Not Need to Buy This.
TL;DR - This is a well made tool. It only works for Falcon freewheels. The universal tool is cheaper and it works for many other freewheels including Falcon (even though it doesn't say so).I had old 15 year old bike with a Falcon freewheel that I wanted to replace with a Shimano freewheel. I purchased both this tool and the universal tool (fits "Shimano, Sachs Aris, and Sun Race freewheels"). Yes, the Falcon tool is "slightly larger" than the universal tool, but the slightly smaller universal tool works with the Falcon freewheel just as well - there is negligible wiggle with both tools in the Falcon freewheel; you cannot tell the difference. This tool is durable - well made. I tried to remove my freewheel with pliers (I knew it wouldn't work, but I tried anyways), the pliers slipped, and there wasn't any significant nicks (One would expect small dents and metal shavings scratched off, right? There was little to none of that). I ended up using some pipe wrench I found - worked like a charm. (I've never removed a freewheel before, if that wasn't obvious).I bought two freewheel tools. I didn't need to.

Fit perfectly, good quality
This thing saved me. I have a Falcon freewheel which has a different spline width and spacing vs. Shimano and the Shimano tool did not work to remove my freewheel assy so I was very happy to find this from Park Tool. Good quality, should last me for years!

A Great Eff-Err of a tool [Pun-Intended]
I skimmed through Amazon reviews to discover that this was indeed the tool needed to pry off an older Falcon cassette on my 2008 Mongoose Bike. I was excited to have read this fact and ordered instantly due to the idea that I was replacing my old bike rim caused by an accident which resulted in the metal frame to bend out badly.Once the product arrived, I used a chain whip to hold the cassette back and used set of pliers (Not exactly professional) to crank that cassette off by twisting this FR-7 tool in between. After a good hard 10 minutes of struggling and cracking open the chain whip from too much pressure, the cassette did come off. I lost a good $10 from a broken whip and I got back $10 or so from a good set of 7 speed gears successfully removed.Mission accomplished? Yes! Fr-7 tool is also slightly chipped from the pressure but holy cow, lasted much better in the heat compared to the chain whip. Rule of thumb for first timers (It was my first also using this tool), make sure you get proper removal tools to prevent accidents and force damage. If I paid a little more money, I would have had myself a good whip, a proper removal tool verses me using pliers, good Fr-7 tool, and bike cassette but instead, I took the hard way and lost $10 technically. Use proper tools!Enough said. Great item nonetheless and recommend it! A bike enthusiast should purchase all the FR tools.

Falcon FreeWheel Tool
Exactly what we needed! It was hard to get the freewheel off but I used my breaker bar with a socket and it came off without issue.

21mm outer diameter
Not mentioned in the description, the freewheel remover has 12 equal width splines with ~21mm exterior dimension, for a 24mm wrench. The packaging says it's for Falcon brand freewheels. I bought it for an old 7 speed "slick shift system by dnp" cassette, as some said it worked for this purpose, and it does remove the cassette from the hub. But it does not remove the lockring holding the cassette together; that lockring has 32mm inner diameter splines.
