This pack is able to hold a lot of items and seems very durable. However, there is not padding in the shoulder straps. In fact, I had trouble getting the straps to lay flat over my shoulders. I do not recommend this if you are going to carry more than a few pounds.

I used this as a hiking daypack and carry-on for a recent trip to New Zealand. Fit the bill nicely!

Didn't feel strong enough. Unless you need it just for a single trip so something like that, I'd invest in a higher quality, more expensive backpack.

This is a nice backpack to carry on, use as a daypack for sightseeing or the beach, and to fill with souvenirs on the way home.It weighs about 317 g or 11.2 oz. When folded and zipped up into the bottom pocket, it measures about 8 X 6 X 2 in. and has a carry strap. Unfolded, it becomes a full-size daypack about 18 in. tall and 10 1/2 x 8 1/2 in. at the base.The top lid buckles down over the main compartment, which has a drawstring and toggle closure. It has two zippered pockets on the lid, one inside and one outside, plus a large mesh back pocket to hold a windbreaker or light rain jacket, mesh side pockets for water bottles, and a large main compartment with a divider that can hold a small laptop or a large tablet.The shoulder straps are firmly attached and have a mesh lining. There is a chest strap with a buckle and cinch straps over the side pockets. The zippers function smoothly. There are several attachment points and four reflective loops on the back.The fabric is a water-repellent rip-stop nylon and the sewing is carefully done, with all exposed seams taped.Kalusi provided a pack for evaluation and review.

This is a great bag for day hikes and also for traveling. I carry it is my luggage and then when I get to my destination I can carry a water bottle, jacket, camera, etc, when on excursions.Also when traveling it is backup in case my suitcase is a little overweight. I can take it and put in enough to get the weight down to avoid paying a penalty.The pack is a 35L and is made out of rip and water resistant nylon fabric. It has comfortable adjustable shoulder straps. There are stretchable pockets on each side for water bottles and compression straps on the sides to hold the bottle in or to compact the load. The main compartment has a draw cord at the top and there is a hydration sleeve for water balder. There is a roomy external pocket made out of stretchable material to store items that you need to get to quickly. The top compartment is closed off by a flip-top zippered pocket that has clips on each side to close it off. This also acts as the storage bag for the pack by just turning the pocket inside out and stuffing the pack into it and closing the zipper.It is a well made bag with multiple uses.
