Niv, Chronological Study Bible, Hardcover, Comfort Print: Holy Bible, New International Version

Looks like a great Bible but it arrived damaged. It appears to be water damage which means it was either damaged before shipping or packaged improperly. I read another review whose Bible arrived in bad shape too so it looks like unfortunately the issue was not addressed by the seller.

This is a beautifully made bible with wonderful facts and maps added as you read through it. I have read the bible through, twice, chronologically, but this is much better, to my way of thinking. Either way is very engrossing and edifying but I just really like how cool all the extra info is and that the entire bible is just read through from front to back... already in proper order. I definitely love and recommend this bible!

I was excited to get this Bible. I’m familiar with the NIV and I wanted a chronological Bible.Unfortunately I was disappointed that the timeline notes assume and only provide descriptions of an old earth. One that follows the secular view of an earth at least 10,000+ years. It was as written in such a way that would leave a reader believing that that was the only explanation.To be fair I have only read the intro and the first couple chapters of the Bible. However I have concerns other chronological notes will be equally biased.I do understand that biblical notes are fallible unlike the Bible and that all humans are biased but I was surprised when I began reading the notes for this Bible.

Two friends and I are reading this together. There is a lot of discussion material and other information about the world during Biblical times. Easy to read. Would recommend.

I purchased this version of the Bible to better understand what I’m reading. It’s a beautiful book and has illustrations. I highly recommend it!
