This book does not have beautiful prose, it is very factual, but Jack Ma is a very interesting man and I enjoyed reading this book. He managed to succeed despite many early rejections (like being rejected from 30 jobs he applied to), losing control of his business to the Chinese government, and in general having to deal with the Chinese government while creating his businesses. He had the guts to reject Ebay buy out offer and achieved much larger success in the end. This a man who cares about the environment and does something about it.His view on finding new business opportunities "If there are over 90% of the crowd saying Yes to approving a proposal, I will surely dispose the proposal into the bin. The reason is simple: if there are so many peope who think that the proposal is good, surely there will be many people who would have been working on it, and the opportunity no longer belongs to us." The story telling is great yet I would expect a more insightful understanding of his perspective or more details on his early age development

I have always admired Jack Ma as a business person. His story from rags to riches is truly inspiring. I wish I had read this book earlier before dwelling into Alibaba. The book gives plenty of detail and knowledge about Jack and his magnificent creation.

I just happened across Jack Ma someplace on the web. I had never heard of him before. I was so impressed with him and what he built from less than nothing; so I bought this book and got the information that I wanted and had a lot fun reading it.

It was an interesting and fast read. Kind of a step by step guide about how Mr. Ma started Alibaba. It included some of his personal philosophy but not a lot.

For the quite expensive price, I hoped for more on exactly how to replicate his success if i went back in time to Chine...

Can be read in no time, but you get a ton of info from this small book.

If you wish to be successful and create your own successful empire in the world of the internet like Jack Ma, then you owe it to yourself to give this book a read, it will be a great help to fill you with the inspiration and the motivation to make it and become your own business tycoon and create your own huge empire and be just as rich and successful. about two pages in each chapter, completely underwhelming. 20-odd pages in total, just about the worst value of anything I've ever bought on Amazon. Dry, witless, nothing that you couldn't get from half an hour's research on the net, which is obviously what the author has done. I've no idea why he bothered.
