Division M DM-E9X-001 Red - Ignition Coil Pulling Tool for E9X M3

This tool definitely came in handy to help pull the coil packs off of the spark plugs in my S65 M3.However this tool alone was just not enough. I needed the extra strength of another friend and we also had to resort to tying nylon rope to the tool and pull that way. I do not know if my car was an anomaly but my coil packs were REALLY stuck in there. I was scared at one point that we were going to break them when pulling them out. But I got lucky. Still very glad I bought this tool though because I can only imagine how much harder it would have been without it since we ended up using the tool to tie the rope to.

Worked like a champ! This tool, in conjunction with the Schwaben Extended 5/8" Spark Plug Socket from Turner Motorsport made the job relatively straight forward. The passenger side plug closest to the firewall on my 2010 E92 M3 still required some effort, and a few choice words, but manageable for the average hack mechanic.

Got the job done well the only improvement I would like to see is a hole through the shaft so you could put a screwdriver or something through it when you need more pull or for some awkward cramped areas. Overall very happy and couldn’t have done spark plugs on my M3 without it.

forget about using clothe hanger to remove coil from a bmw m3. this is needed. makes everything easier
