Description

Beta-Ecdysterone or 20-Hydroxyecdysone is a natural ecdysteroid hormone. It is a phytoecdysteroid produced by several plants, including Ajuga turkestanica , Rhaponticum carthamoides and Cyanotis Arachnoidea. Beta-Ecdysterone has come to prominence as a supplement because it may enhance athletic performance in humans. In 2019 the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) funded a study on Beta-Ecdysterone that was led by a team that involved the Department for Molecular and Cellular Sports Medicine out of Germany.
