Franklin Sports Steel Goal - All Sport Soccer, Lacrosse Field Hockey and Street Hockey Goal - 50"x42" Youth Goal and Net - Backyard Goal

We picked this up for our 5 yo girls who are interested in soccer. This net is just the right size for the open space we have in our yard. The net and frame are sturdy. When held down with the metal stakes which come in the package I am confident the net will not fall over. The metal tubes which make up the frame are strong, painted, and the weight and thickness of the tubes seems very good. The assembly instructions were a little bit misleading because some of the parts must be assembled in a certain order, but I figured it out. First time assembly took about 10 minutes. The sleeves in the net where the frame mates with the net is a durable material, feature velcro on some of the pieces to help with assembly (not noted in the instructions by the way!), and the material which makes up the netting is also a good quality weight. I feel confident this net will be good to go for a number of years.I selected this net because of the metal frame, the good net material as mentioned in some of the other reviews here, and I recognized the brand name. I looked at purchasing the plastic folding frame nets, and the fiberglass frame folding nets and considered them. I wasn't thrilled with the durability of those products based on other reviews, and this Franklin net was around the same price point. I'd rather have something that will last, and I don't mind the net taking up some space in the garage. We'll take it apart to store for the winter.

This goal was easy to put together in about 5 minutes, resists all kinds of weather, and is the perfect size for my 4 and 6 year old (I expect the size to work for a at least 5 years or more).

It was fairly easy to set up. I did it by myself following the directions. Once together it felt very sturdy.

Takes five minutes to set up, if your having a hard time gets the last few parts together the net velcros off so you can loosen it to get the last couple pieces snapped in. One person complained about getting the wrong pieces, they assembled it incorrectly and just needed to flip those pieces from the right to the left of the goal. Directions are simple and straight forward. Very happy with the durability and quality of this product for the price!!! A must buy!

Very high quality goal post. It's able to withstand the outdoor elements well. I will recommend it.

I did a lot of research before buying this post. There were bad reviews on so many post. This one is relatively easy to assemble and it is made well. Highly recommended.

We have these set up in the basement for street hockey and soccer. Super fun with my 8 year old son. Also work nicely in the yard. Santa scored with this gift!

Easy to assemble, good net, light weight so easy to carry around (which is a bit of a downside if you take hard shots with soccer ball). Comes with tie downs for grass play. Solid addition to basement / indoor play.

Used this net for the first day and already noticed rust spots on the ends of the tubular steel posts. The white paint doesn't appear to be as durable and resilient as I had hoped. The company claims the posts are built using galvanized steel construction, but if indeed it was then it wouldn't rust on the first day of use. So I highly doubt that galvanized steel is being used, unless its made from very inferior quality of galvanized steel made in China, which is often the case. The net is sturdy enough for hard slap shots with a hockey ball, but may be knocked over with a slap shot using a hard full size hockey puck. Okay for occasional hard pucks but I probably wouldn't recommend it for long term use. Its relatively compact and can be taken apart quite quickly, so which is what I was exactly looking for in the first place. On first install, it might take a little while to figure it out, but the installation manual was more than adequate. The price I paid was way over priced on Amazon.ca, as compared to the cheaper price on Amazon.com, so just be aware of the huge price discrepancy. I would recommend this net because its compact and its great for children/teens only. For adults I would prefer a net with a lot more durability and one that is much larger, and able to withstand hard pucks.
