The curtains are not made of 3 ply, as the picture might suggest, but is one ply, meaning the material is a weave of the color and the blackout material, making it not blackout whatsoever. I got the greyish white. They will block light somewhat, but do not expect mid day home theatre experience as they only partially block light. So the blackout and 3 ply are not really as described. The curtains also are covered in wrinkle out of the box, meaning that if you do not have an iron, they'll stay that way... Otherwise, the packaging says they are sound and temperature dampning, but I am very doubtfull. They will do for my purpose since I was only looking to dim the light from reflections on my monitor, but I will not buy again if in need of actual blackout curtains.

I am very annoyed that these curtains specifally state: sound proof/ sound absorbing / noise reducing curtains.I searched for days, compared item descriptions and paid for ceiling to floor blackout curtains that reduce noise!This part is very important to me so I bought a pair that are apparently woven in some magical way to absorb the sound from outside.I waited excitedly looking forward to getting a good sleep - finally!They arrive and the material is thinner than my lacey knickers! You can actually see the holes in the material.Obviously there was not even a miniscule difference to the sound of the road outside.They are great blackout curtains but noise reducing? I literally feel like I was conned and these sound reducing curtains are as real as a bucket of air.I will be sending them back, absolute waste of money and time having to return them.I bought a different pair of curtains on sale purely for the colour, they arrived 5 times thicker than these crappy triple woven curtains and I am now sleeping in my living room as they actually do muffle the noise.DO NOT BUY FOR SOUND ABSORPTION/NOISE REDUCING - A LOAD OF OLD TOSH.

I am very happy with these curtains. They do not feel or look like plastic. One piece of advice is to be prepared to hang them a fair distance above your window top as the eyelets for the rod will let some light shine in. This would be the same for any curtain with eyelets. It isn’t a total block, but then I got light gray curtains and didn’t expect much, but I am pleasantly surprised at how much bright light they do block. The picture was taken at noon.

These do exactly as described, the feel and thickness is lovely. They hang beautifully. Going to buy more for other bedrooms

These are most definitely not blackout curtains, and to say they are is misleading in my opinion. I have owned blackout curtains, which actually have an opaque light blocking layer. These do not. Room darkening? Sure. We can go with that. Having said that, total blackout is not my primary concern for the current installation. They do, at least, provide privacy. They may also provide some thermal protection, but again, there are far superior products out there for that purpose.
