Amazing product!!!
Amazing!!!! I never post reviews but felt i had to on this one because of how great it is. First off, it came 3 days earlier than expected and came with a bonus styling mousse (score). I did the treatment myself even though it says its for professionals only. I flat iron my hair a lot and have dyed it in the past so after watching a you tube tutorial, I was confident that I could do it myself. I decided to use the clarifying shampoo the night before, and let it air dry before I went to bed, to cut down on the treatment time the next morning. The process is lengthy and can get tedious so doing that helped a bit. Plus I have an infant and a toddler so i knew it would take me longer than most people because I had to stop a lot during the process to take care of them. I used a quarter of the amount of the shampoo and hair mask but had to use the whole treatment (step 2) on my hair. I know most people can get away with using about half of the product but I have so much thick hair, that even though it is shoulder length, I still needed the full 4 oz. For this reason, I will probably buy the treatment separately in a larger size (I think I saw a 16 oz size advertised for $160). This will give me 4 treatments which is well worth the money. It had a pleasant smell, and the only time it smelt chemically is when I was flat ironing. But even that wasn't too bad. Iv'e dyed my hair brown to cover roots with chemicals that were more harsh. I pretty much followed the directions except that I kept the treatment in for an hour before rinsing. Once I rinsed and used the hair mask, my hair air dried almost completely straight with no frizz. It usually dries wavy and curly and very frizzy, even when I flat ironed it before the treatment, it wouldn't take long before the frizz would return. i ran the flat iron over it for 5 min and it looked like I got a professional blow out. I can't attest to how long it will last, because I just did the treatment but even if it lasts for six week, it will be well worth the money.

It works - and NO fumes!!!
Some background: I have been doing my own keratin treatments for 2 years now. I went natural after a lifetime of relaxers, but needed something that would allow me to "wash and go" without altering the texture of my hair radically. The brand I used before this (Moroccan Keratin) worked well but the fumes were terrible. Once I finished that product I decided to try Kerargenic and I am super excited about the results.I have tight, frizzy curls (3C according to the curl pattern charts). I like my curls so I only reapply keratin to my roots (new growth). This allows me to "wash and go" or blow dry/flat iron much more easily. This product worked just as well as the previous one I used, except without ANY of the fumes. I think it may have even left my hair shinier and softer than the other product! Here are some tips:- Shampoo your hair 2-3 times with the clarifying shampoo to make sure any trace of oil is completely gone. (My hair is greasy so I have to shampoo 3 times.)- If it is your first treatment use the product roots-to-tips as directed. If it's not, try only applying it to the new hair growth and only comb through the new growth if you don't want a drastic alteration of your hair texture.- Blow dry the hair 100% and flat iron as directed after treatment. Flat ironing will spread the treatment a bit which is fine, won't have much of an impact.- DO NOT wash out the treatment the same day as it instructs. If you have finer hair or looser curls, I think 24-48 hours should be fine. But if you have thick hair or tight curls like me, leave the treatment in for 3 days before washing again. The hair will feel a bit tough, but I promise you its worth the wait.- During the 3 days with the treatment in, lightly retouch the treated hair with a flat iron (roots-to-tips for first timers, only the roots for subsequent treatments).- Lastly, always use a sulfate free shampoo and conditioner to upkeep in between treatments. If you want it to last, this is a must.Good luck!
