This is a very nice Pirate costume. The hat and boot covers are throw aways, but better ones are easily obtainable elsewhere and not expensive. I ordered a large and am 6'2'' 210 lbs, it fit well.

Buttons were sloppily sewn on, 3 popped off trying to put on the costume for the first time and had to be resewn on. Another popped off later the same day.

I bought this as a Halloween costume, and while you need a minuscule head to wear the hat (what's up with THAT?) the rest of the costume is outstanding -- especially for the price! It fit me pretty well -- if anything, the belt was too big (at 6' and 190lbs). But everything else was great about it. And I got sooo many compliments on it!

Horrible hat. Buttons fell of before I even wore it. It came all wrinkled.

I bought this costume under the impression that it had a separate coat, vest and shirt which it says in the description and was the main reason I bought it. I needed the flexibility to loose the coat and maintain a shirt vest outfit, for a little warmth and being able to sail a tall ship which Is what I was doing, we were having a pirate weekend for the children and to raise funds and donations for the ship.The outfit is good, fitted well and won me the best dressed comp, Having said that though I was disappointed by the misleading description as the cuffs are attached to the coat and the shirt is nothing more than a dickie, leaving me to replace it with another shirt I had. The hat took a bit of starch and time to stiffen up a little but was ok. I would recommend this costume even with its lack of shirt as it stood me well and lasted a weekend of tall ship sailing and is still usable, with a little fraying to the vest but that' not bad considering what I was doing.

We loved the costume. Most costumes are overpriced for the fabric quality...that's a given. The vest was very impressive though. I ironed the costume. As far as the hat goes, After ironing, I shaped the hat and let it sit. It held its shape very perfectly. Those who complained about the hat probably expected to take it out if the package and wear it...idk why they'd do that, but it took very little effort to shape.

So we went to Tybee Island Pirate Fest and ordered this costume...I was very skeptical about ordering something like this online and not getting to try it on first, but Blow Me Down!!! I was pleasantly surprised with the quality and the fit!!It was shipped promptly and packaged well too. I definitely recomend this costume to anyone who wants to be a pirate...Arrrrrrrrgh!!!
