PlyCorr (a densely corrugated cardboard that performs like wood without the added weight) or solid MDF (Medium Density Fiberboard), depending on the width. Laminating the mirror directly to the surface creates a much safer pierce resistant mirror door. Most mirror doors are simply mesh backed mirror in a lightweight frame.
