My scalp is easily irritated by hair products, even within the healthy and natural realms of available goods. This line does not irritate my scalp. It also leaves my hair feeling very silky. The scent is mild - which is also a blessing for me, since even true essential oils can irritate my respiratory system unless used in small quantities. I always dilute my shampoos in water before using. I learned this trick years ago and it works well with this shampoo. Doing so avoids the build up of product, and seems to do a better job of cleaning my scalp and hair. The texture of my hair upon rinsing out the shampoo is a little odd, as some reviewers have commented, but it is manageable. Using the shampoo while diluted eases this affect. Applying the conditioner alleviates this odd sensation.I hav wavy hair, that is 70 % gray. Years ago I discovered another trick - combing jojoba oil through my towel-dried hair, post showering. I shampoo, condition sometimes, and always use the oil. I apply it on the ends through the base of my head, and comb with through from the ends to the top of my head. This takes care of any frizz and the tendency for the gray hairs to misbehave. Every 3rd shampoo I forego the conditioner and use only the oil. This seems the perfect plan for keeping my hair soft, full bodied, and avoiding any build up. The oil never flattens my waves, only product build- up will do that.The only reason I cannot give a 5 star rating is the cost. It is extremely expensive. I only shampoo every 3-5 days, so I can swing usually it in my budget, but there are tikes when I have to go without and use lesser products until I have some extra cash to spend.

It's not easy finding a shampoo & conditioner that's effective for a variety of hair types, unisex, smells fantastic, contins many organic ingredients, and most importantly, works very well!I'd definitely recommend this set, without hesitation, especially after ordering it for a second time. My only complaint is that it's pricey.

It’s decent. Smells good. Does burn eyes. Leaves hair clean and fresh. I’d like a bit more moisture from the conditioner but it’s still pretty good. I’ll purchase again.

This is the only shampoo and conditioner I will use on my fine thin hair. Thankfully It isn't filled with a bunch of junk ingredients - the ingredients are truly clean! It smells amazing and my hair feels soft and looks great!I have looked into numerous other supposedly “clean” shampoos & conditioners and either they still have unpronounceable synthetics or they don't work & my hair turns into a knotted dry mess. I am grateful to have found this product!

I've tried many other natural shampoos and tried this one when it was sold at my Natural Grocers, but then they stopped carrying it. It took a while of searching online to try to find this again. The ingredients in it are truly great if you research stuff like this, and the others have left my hair gummy or waxy. I have dry ends and a greasier sometimes irritated scalp and love the silky light way it makes my hair and how it soothes. My household has longer hair and my 9yo loves the mint and tells me not to get anything else. The conditioner really shines up their hair too. We are hooked, and only poo 2x a week.

I have been hunting for a hair product exactly like this. After being let down by brands like Alaffia and SheaMoisture, this was a godsend. I had a long checklist for my shampoo and conditioner, and this product checks off all of them! It is mostly natural, with only one detergent ingredient—otherwise it is mostly essential oils/plant-based ingredients. It actually cleans my very long/very thick/wavy/curly hair! I’ve used so many other natural shampoos that make my dry hair (which is naturally NEVER greasy, even after 4-5 days without shampooing) feel super gunky and unclean at the root, mostly because I can’t distribute the product throughout my hair well enough. Nope! Even though it leaves my hair feeling clean and clear at the roots, I still feel like it’s gentle on my ends and hydrating enough to use every day. I definitely feel like it’s made my hair softer and more manageable as well as enhanced my natural curl. Lastly, I really like the minty smell. It reminds me of the tingly shampoo at trader joe’s (but without commercial detergents!!) It’s worth mentioning that the smell is also pretty light in my opinion. I wouldn’t be upset if it were more intense. All in all, I would recommend this product to anyone with any hair type, and I hope they never change the formula.

This is basically the only organic shampoo that doesn’t have any crap in it that’s bad for you, I do like it, it doesn’t really remove all the oil, my hair is still a little bit greasy after, maybe it’s the conditioner, but you have to wash your hair every day with this shampoo. That being said this is the shampoo that I buy all the time, I don’t like chemicals so I will suffer the little downside.Edit: it seems to be the conditioner that is causing most of the oil. I wash twice with the shampoo and it keeps my hair clean for two days, maybe slightly oilier looking than a commercial shampoo but still good. I’m happy

This shampoo and conditioner set smells amazing like peppermint and now I’m a repeat buyer because it’s wonderful. It lathers/applies better than some other all natural products I’ve tried, but less than store bought products. I have long hair that goes to my elbow and after a shower it takes a few more minutes to brush out than my old store bought chemical conditioner, but my hair looks radiant and I can go longer between hair washes without my head getting oily. I’m not a hippie and I like to look professional and clean. My friends often compliment me on my hair (I have healthy hair to begin with - it’s not all this product, obviously). This product helps my hair look shiny and mostly untangled without saturating my scalp in chemicals day in and day out. I just need to brush it a little more to bring the natural oils down from my scalp in the am/pm.
